hello,

I have contacted Beirut VO and they informed me that my file is transferred to Bucharest office.
Does anybody have any experience with this office? are they quick in finalizing the application? do they require additional documents?

In Schedule 3 Economic Classes IMM 0008 SCHEDULE 3 form, question 12 about your work experience, should I mention every role in my current organization, or just combine all roles within the organization into one ?

I've only worked for one company all my life (4.5 years), but have changed roles and teams in between. I'm applying for 2281 NOC and my role started in 2282 and gradually shifted to 2281.

Do you need to have all your work experience under 2281 to be qualified for equivalent points?

You can segregate your entries based upon NOCs (and not roles) if your duties fall under different NOCs for different duration, doesn't matter if it were the same organization. But in such case your Exp. Letter should also reflect similar information (regarding different Job Duties performed).

You need to have 1 year full-time continuous and paid experience in 2281 in order to qualify with 2281 as your chosen NOC. You could have worked on different NOCs for the remaining duration of your tenure and that wouldn't make any difference.

Hi guys,

Some quick questions regarding FSW program. I am from a former soviet union country.

I have just recently applied for ECA evaluation at WES. I have a bachelor's and a master's degree from accredited US universities.

I am applying under NOC category - Financial analysts. The official cap shows 130 applications received for this category as of today's date. (but I guess they update the number only periodically)

So, do you think I still have some time assuming it may take 2 more months to get my ECA report from WES and get other paperwork done?

If I send my application in the first week of October, will I still have a shot?

I am concerned because Financial Analyst category gets filled up fast as usual.

Also, do I have to include the police certificate with my application? I think I won't be able to get it soon from the US.

Please let me know.

Thank you so much!

Its true that your NOC is very popular. But if you have made a decision that you want to immigrate to Canada - it shouldn't matter what the CAP Status was, is or is likely to be in the future. Although chances are that the CAP may still be open for your NOC after 2 months from now, worst come - if it's not, there's always next year when Express Entry begins.

Documents such as WES and IELTS would still be required then. So don't take FSW 2014 as the end of the road. Consider it as your first opportunity with more opportunities waiting in the future should the first one not work out.

Admin/moderators,

I think the Apps by NOC/Cap estimates tab on the spreadsheet has got it all wrong!!

Take eg of 2174 ;D

Apps in the SS are 274

But in column 'Current # of SS apps rcvd per work day for this NOC' it shows 0.78

The # of work days is roughly 70 till today, 274 apps in SS/70 is 3.9

Again, total worldwide avg estimate of 2.18 doesn't match with the figure of 770 worldwide estimate given in the SS itself!! (770/70 = 11, not 2.18!!)

And again, probably because of these mistakes, the last 'Estimated date by which you should file..' column gives it way to wrong estimate (2015, i wish :P )

Hope I am making sense, & don't get me wrong, it's a great initiative and tool. One can make own estimates by using the data given. But then why not make these corrections.

Yes, Bucharest VO are fast. I received PER on 16 June and yesterday I've received medical request.

Thank you. I have reference letters from my manager and ex-supervisors with main duties mentioned clearly and signed. Can I use the same text to fill in this form too?

WOW congrats bro. :)

this is really quick. I hope they continue on this pace. ;D

so I can deduce that within a month or 2 I should receive such a request, hopefully. :D

Thanks for your post!

A quick follow up question here.

I may qualify under 2 NOC category:

Financial Analyst and Auditor. The auditor category cap is only 18 to the date. But my experience as an auditor is only 1.5 years. And I have worked as a financial analyst for 3 years.

Am I not going to lose some experience points if I apply under NOC auditor category because my primary experience is financial analyst. Please advise!

Thank you!

Yes you can. It doesn't necessarily have to be long descriptions (as generally in Exp. Letters) but could be just brief bullet points.

Else, you could use an additional sheet if you want to be detailed about it.

Your choice.

Mine is the similar case but I included letter of explanation that "I'm not claiming any points for Masters ...". Personally I don't think there should be any issue even without letter of explanation because we included/mentioned it as per CIC instructions related to not hiding any thing.

I also came across the post about a guy being rejected due to ECA not done for Masters, I guess he didn't provide us complete information. There could be more to it, perhaps he couldn't accumulate 67 points without it, just a guess.

Hi, not 100% sure though, but my understanding is that there should not be a concern for your masters education not evaluated by WES till the time you have your graduation evaluated. It will be just that you will get the score equivalent of the canadian bachelors i.e. 21 points. if your total tally still crosses 67, I think you are good to go!

best regards,

There is no such mathematics that goes into calculating a 'Primary' experience.

They are all just 'experience'.

You can go with 'Auditor' if it seems safe and you have 1 year continuous and paid experience performing the same duties. You will be awarded points though for both your experiences in cumulative (since both fall under the eligible NOCs and/or eligible skill types).

Yes you can use the same text provided it is relavant for the respective NOC you are filling in, as i follow from your earlier posts that your total experience is 4.5 in which you have hopped various roles, not sure how the same is mentioned in your reference letter.

Whatever it may be, please ensure that your primary code should be more than 1 year and the duties in the code should be clearly defined, you may mention the other codes and their respective responsibilities as well in the other columns.

If you have a master's degree and you wish to only evaluate your Bachelors from WES for FSW - that's fine; assuming the evaluation is positive and your points are sufficient to qualify (67). In such case you will have to provide valid proof of only your Bachelors in your application as you may be aware of.

BUT - you should mention the credential (Masters) in your Background declaration in the education segment (if I remember the form and the segment correctly, it's been a long time since i looked into it).

Can admins please update the Applications received by date and status sheet .. it seems the relevant scripts are not running :-X

They're running, but very slowly :)
I've already made a bunch of workarounds to ensure the spreadsheet runs properly within the resource limits imposed by Google, but it looks like it still couldn't handle yesterday's PER shower very well and started throwing random errors. So I had to limit statistics update to each 8 hours.

If you would like the updates to happen more often than that, let me know and I'll think what I can do. There are still a lot of ways to improve it :)
