Yes check the document checklist.. it mentions clearly that IELTS should be original.

Wow... Then why don't you send IELTS certified TRF?
If a certificate is not in English or French, submit both the certificate and the original copy of a translation prepared by an accredited translator.

If you are applying for the first time, then you will receive a PER email from CIC which will include your file number and UCI number..

I didn't get any PER email. My DD got encashed by 18th of June.
But PER came for the people who got their CC/DD charged on 19,20th of june ....

You have 2 options for ECA

1. Medical ECA (must if u r applying for Doctor specific NOC), which is done by a professional body with stringent documentation requirements and having longer process i.e. around 3-4 months minimum. FOr further details

2. Regular ECA (also acceptable if u r applying for any NOC other than Doctor specific) u have option of 2 ECA agencies (i don't think 3rd i.e. WES will evaluate urs) the process will take 8-10 weeks.

If you go with option 1: ur degree will be assessed as "Professional" and you will get 23 points

Option 2: will get you 21 points

Trade off: Time vs points

Thank you Century for your response. Actually its a 4 years Bachelor Degree in Dental Sciences followed by 1 year Internship from India. So, Can I claim 23 points for Bachelor Degree in Dental Sciences?

You are partially right .. A lot of people may not bother to update the sheet and frankly we can't force them to. On the other hand .. there are several applicants who have not been charged and have not received there docs back, so they would be the guys who are showing as not charged.

As for my case I used a DD but don't know when I was charged so have not updated Fee Encashed date .. but I have updated the ECAS status for my app

Do you always get your file back if something is missing or false? So you have a chance to correct it and resent your application?

i did enclose WES positive ECA report in original for my bachelors degree and mentioned that i only intend to claim points only till bachelors. I never mentioned to wes about my PGDM and nor did fill details about my PGDM. I had to mention PGDM in my CIC application as otherwise there would be gap plus i would be giving incorrect details to them. and i have enclosed copies of all my education certificates from PGDM to HSC. U think it will be ok or to be sure i send them my PGDM evaluated copy from WES which for sure will not be recognized by them.

Since you are not claiming points for your PG, its not required of you to send the WES report for the same...theres no point. :-X
but it is important to send the supporting documents of your complete education to eliminate any mysterious 'time gaps' doubts from the minds of the CIC evaluation officer-- which you already did! good job! relax now and wait for the good news

Dear Friends & seniors,

Urgent suggestions needed.

My application was reached at CIC on 20th May 2014.
yesterday I found that there was date mistake in the employer reference letter. So, yesterday I sent reference letter again, by stating the reason why I am sending it again.

How they consider my application now, I will be fall under 20th May 2014 applicant or 14th Aug 2014 applicant (expected delivery date of my reference letter).

I am worried, please advise.

They're not strictly working in that order...yours will come soon don't worry
