I do not think one will get fees back if it's NER. since, that fee is an application process fee. If anyone's application is rejected for other reasons(cap reached, in-sufficient documentation etc...) then they will refund the fees.

hey spyder,, are you sure about this or is it a speculation?

Thanks @Century for updating about refund information.

From what I understood from guide is they will charge if they case has processed, but as @Century pointed out, only after PER if they reject application then there will be no refund of fees.

I probably told you, everybody don't become successful; most of the FSW2013 candidates were successful and some of the FSW2014 candidates successfully get information. If the agent is lady, success rates multiply. Rohan was also successful to know about his status.

According to OP6c, they will refund for NER. After PER, no refund.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op06c-eng.pdf

9. Procedure: Assessing the application against Ministerial Instructions

If the application is determined to be eligible for processing, the applicant will be informed. Once
the CIO has made a positive eligibility determination, processing has begun and processing fees
are no longer refundable.

If the application is determined to be ineligible for processing, the applicant will be informed and will receive a refund of processing fees. The application will not be returned..

 If the application does not meet all the criteria of applicable Ministerial Instructions, then the CIO will make a final negative determination of eligibility for processing and:
o record the outcome and reasons in GCMS;
o initiate a refund of processing fees; and
o inform the applicant (see Appendix A for sample letter).
The application will not be returned to the applicant.
Thanks, Century.. I like how you respond to queries, and with references. I had some bad experiences in the past due to speculations from people..
+1 to you.

No problem you don't have to have the degree mentioned on the NOC page.

Thanks! And 2 last questions:

1. Regarding my 1st employer: it was a small company with no logo (no letter w/o letter head) that doesn't exist anymore. I got the letter from the main former shareholder but in a blank paper - no logo. Will that be accepted?
2. My 2nd employer did not write any letter. So I got my contract, pay slips, national work registration, etc translated to English and sent to CIC. Will that work? Is it a common procedure accepted by them?

Thanks! Yoiu guys are the best! :)

Your age will be locked-in to the date CIO received your application. So, if you can send your application by 12th Aug, your age will be counted as 40 and will fetch you 7 points. ;D ;D

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp
Factor 4: Age (maximum of 12 points)

You will receive points for your age on the date that we receive your complete application at the CIO.

Dear Century (Champion member)

Sir I request you to please answer my query

I am interested in applying for immigration FSW category as Mechanical engineer, my points calculation is exact 67 , for age presently i score 7 points as my dob is 29/08/1973 i.e present age is 40, all my documents are almost ready, my query is that my date of birth is 29 aug 1973 means another 25 days I wll be 41 so the points will become 66 after 29 aug, so now if my application papers reach CIC in next one week I.e max by 12 Aug 2014 will my file pass / accepted or will it be sent back / rejected.

In my opinion applications are marked with date stamp on receipt, your age on the day of receipt is what they consider, i want others to correct me if i am wrong...
