Hi All,

I am the main applicant ...What if my spouse receives a new passport after the application has been made on the old one.

Do we need to inform or wait until we hear from the CIC.

Reason to change: We changed the passport as it had a mistake in spelling and at lot many places.

Any suggestions?

Hi NSharawat,
I had PER estimates earlier, but CIC appears to be sort of unpredictable in its PER issuing speed. Sometimes it's about 80 PERs a month, and sometimes it's only about 10. So until we find a clear pattern, any estimate wouldn't work well.
I'll keep monitoring it and I'll publish PER estimates in case CIC becomes more predictable.

I have a old UCI #, I verified with it after CC charge.

By the way folks, no one answering the query. Will the ECAS status change after PER is received?
People who had a old UCI # and verified ECAS after CC charged and who have PER now, pl answer.

I also have old UCI number from last year, and checked online ECAS and there is no information about my application. My Cc was charged on July 24th. One note, I did not write old UCI number on the application. do I get a new UCI in PER?

One of my family member's (Physician- 3112 category) application reached CIO on 7th May and his CC was charged on Jul 02. No PER received yet...


(1) The thing is that with the application he sent only WES ECA but for professionals like physicans, pharamcists etc CIC asks ECA from professional bodies like MCC (medical council of canada). If CIC charged the CC does that mean that they have accepted the WES ECA for a doctor?? Also in the mean time, he applied for MCC Equivalency and got the final report this week only.

Can he submit the MCC report now so that CIC does not reject the case once they check the file thoroughly for issuing PER ??

(2) He received a File number in a Response from CIO, when he sent the email (about 6 weeks ago) to CIO enquring status update on his file. The file number is like E000183xxx. Is this how a File # from CIC/CIO looks like?? Can he submit the MCC report quoting this file number so that CIO can attach the report to his file. If we check ecas staus with this file # it shows nothing.

No dear. UCI remains the same for all your future applications with CIC. ECAS is usually updated on Tuesdays, so try logging in next week. Congrats on your CC charging and all the best.

Gosh, a recent Google Spreadsheets code update has broken half of our main spreadsheet functionality.
Charts are broken, and spreadsheet entry/updates appear to misbehave as well.
Got a sleepless night investigating it.
No reason to worry, though, it should not cause long-term issues for us. Fixing it now.

just got an email that CIC wants to review my application through the online service of WES.

i have just ordered an additional report costing me 67.80 dollars in total..it says now CIC can view electronically....

please tell what is this all about and where do i stand...

This is standard procedure. Some people may not have made their result available to CIC online, in which case you have to authorize it because they typically check it online. It means they are reviewing your app right now so PER is coming soon. 8)
