You can send DD within one month of issuing it .. an excerpt from the guidelines,

"To ensure it can still be cashed when the fee payment is processed at the CIO, it must be issued no more than 30 days before you send your application to the CIO"

Hi friends,

I made the DD on 19-7-2014, will it be OK, if I send the application on 04-08-2014. I stay at Bhubaneshwar, India. I called UPS they said if I send on 1st august it will reach on 7 august

Or will CIC will say that " it should have 5 months validity when they open the package and see the DD , like they did in IELTS case

or shall i make new DD. ( its not a big deal for me)

I have ICICI bank CC also

Hello all,

Now my online account says that my package is FSWP credential assessment package.

Called up CIC, but yhe agent said he cant say if now they can see my report or not.

My question is now by what time CIC can view the report....as they say its one day service for hard copy delivery do online should be available immediately.

Seniors, please reply as I believe your reply will surely help other forumites who might land up in the same situation.

One of my family member's (Physician- 3112 category) application reached CIO on 7th May and his CC was charged on Jul 02. No PER received yet...


(1) The thing is that with the application he sent only WES ECA but for professionals like physicans, pharamcists etc CIC asks ECA from professional bodies like MCC (medical council of canada). If CIC charged the CC does that mean that they have accepted the WES ECA for a doctor?? Also in the mean time, he applied for MCC Equivalency and got the final report this week only.

Can he submit the MCC report now so that CIC does not reject the case once they check the file thoroughly for issuing PER ??

(2) He received a File number in a Response from CIO, when he sent the email (about 6 weeks ago) to CIO enquring status update on his file. The file number is like E000183xxx. Is this how a File # from CIC/CIO looks like?? Can he submit the MCC report quoting this file number so that CIO can attach the report to his file. If we check ecas staus with this file # it shows nothing.

Did some research on your case. Found that on FSWP upgradation issue by WES, it may take a long long time to get PER. Following the cases for FSWP 2013 applicants and the time between Fee Encashed date and PER date is given below:

So, best thing is to do is having patience. Rarely a file rejected after encashment. So relax.

Hi Oscar, the reason I wanted to know was because I was advised to email them my job duties to see if it matches my chosen NOC. I was pretty sure I would fit into 2281, but was quite surprise when they responded that I fit 2172 instead. So I wanted to know if they were the group who does the assessment on our application as well. And honestly speaking, seeing how knowledgeable you guys in the thread are, I'm now clueless on what people here might and might not know here.

At what stage can I log on under on-Line Services and check my application status. I have my old Permanent resident card which has the UCI number on
it, It says ID No, not even sure if thats the one?

Hi,

In case someone applied with 67 point without spouse IELTS, and after they checked his application, unluckily if due to some reason CIC calculated point less then 67, say they consider 65 points due to missing JD of any missing reference letter. Then definitely they will send application back.

Now if applicant wants to apply again immediately after he collect returned packet then is it possible for him to ADD his spouse IELTS score which he has with him now. So that he got 65 + 5 points.

Is it possible to reapply with spouse IELTS points.
