@ Anil,

They will ask you to show funds at port of entry. It could be in form of traveller's cheques, saving certificates, some cash (max 10k).

It's not true that you can bring max 10k of cash into Canada. You can bring any amount you like. But if it is over 10k, you must declare it.

Hi buddy... how can we check status without PER?? MY CC is charged on July 24th, and waiting to receive PER.

I have a old UCI #, I verified with it after CC charge.

By the way folks, no one answering the query. Will the ECAS status change after PER is received?
People who had a old UCI # and verified ECAS after CC charged and who have PER now, pl answer.

Please correct me if I am wrong ---> I'm adding my wife as a dependent and I don't require to pay her for embassy fees(550$) but still I get points (5) if she have CLB Level 4 in ielts?

Can I show the flat (property) as a proof of fund which is registered on my name ?

If your wife is an applicant (i.e., you want to bring her with you), you sure do need to pay a fee for her too!

You can get IELTS points for your wife if she is also an applicant (accompanying you).

Property is not acceptable as proof of funds.

- If you have a spouse and/or dependant children, no matter whether they are or will accompany you to Canada or not, you still have to pay their part of the application fees in full. Therefore - you pay CAD 550 + CAD 550 for yourself and your spouse (assuming there is no child).

- Property can be shown as 'Assets' but not as Settlement funds. At least not most of the VOs recognize it as settlement funds. In some cases LVO has been known to recognize property as Settlement funds.

NOT TRUE, you only have to pay the fee for a dependant if that dependant will accompany you to Canada.

So far, mine has not changed yet after charging. I got PER few days ago.

PER mail may reach you later ...

Brother, frankly speaking, I was a bit disappointed to get it a bit early . My timeline was Oscar7+5days. So, as long as oscar7 don't get, I was happy and I miss the chilling factor that you are going through. 8) 8) 8)

Now, may be after one month no news and after that may be one year no news.

Calm down. Everybody is 99% sure to get PER.

CIC is sending PER mails to 7th may currently ...
and as per my observation , it is in order of payment charge date .... and currently they are on 16th june payment charges

However their might be some discrepancy in the sequence of sending mail as well ,,
What does ur ECAS say...anyways
Dnt u worry ..... the mail should be on its way.... and BTW keep a watch on ur spam folder too ... ;D ;D

Now my online account says that my package is FSWP credential assessment package.

Called up CIC, but yhe agent said he cant say if now they can see my report or not.

My question is now by what time CIC can view the report....as they say its one day service for hard copy delivery do online should be available immediately.

Seniors, please reply as I believe your reply will surely help other forumites who might land up in the same situation.

just got an email that CIC wants to review my application through the online service of WES.

i have just ordered an additional report costing me 67.80 dollars in total..it says now CIC can view electronically....

please tell what is this all about and where do i stand...
