Guys,

I realize that there is no Nostradamus amongst us but I do need to figure out what chances I have if I reapply this year?

I would be able to prepare and send a package by September end. My NOC 2171 already has 157 entries in the spreadsheet. Assuming the spreadsheet to represent about 10% applicants, 1000 applications would have been reached by now. If we assume the spreadsheet to represent a lower percentage (2,3,5..), 1000 applications would have reached by June end itself.

Would it be worthwhile to take IELTS by going into some far off city (to be able to prepare my application in time) and taking all the pain of packing the application again? Or, if this is a battle lost, would it be wise to prepare for Express Entry?

Kindly advise.

yes it is complete worth to other city for ielts and prepare your app in time.
your noc-2171 is not so hot,,it's only the starting rush and now this pattern is going to slow down with the passage of time

CIC has started giving updates already on the Express Entry system. It is similar to the Australian EOI (Expression of Interest) formula.

I am even aware of that but this is presentation only but not the complete system.

(what i thank that cic is doing a test run with our applications with eoi system...test run to check whether cic can implement this successfully)

Current system is 30-40 years old and still we can't rely on that.

I don't know how one can be more optimistic for the execution and we know from our past experience that everything is absolutely dubious for first run/first time execution.

Moreover, if there is chance for someone for applying this year..why would i suggest him to go for express entry???

That reply of mine was only on your comment saying that CIC doesn't know anything about what, when to do. I just corrected you that they are in the process, and would by all means make it run as they have been running FSW so far, or better.

I am planning to apply for NOC 2171. My application is ready except my 6 month old twin daughters passports. I had applied for their passport a month back but havnt received them yet. What can I do? Is it inevitable to wait for the passports to arrive before submission? Can I send application acknowledgment now and the copy of passports later. Can someone please advise as soon as possible.

I have query about my status checking in ecas I am May 9th applicant DD payment

1. Will UCI number changes for every year when I called to Cic they gave me client id of 8 digits
2. How can I check my status where I tried to check it was saying that we cannot recognise you
What does it mean
3. Where we have to use "-" after 4 digits while checking in ecas?

I took IELTS on 26th May 2012. As per CIC, it should have expired on 25th May 2014. My application reached on 9th May 2014.

This should not be the reason for rejection.

Still waiting for my package. Will let everyone know what was missing from my application.

If it was something too stupid, I won't share. ;D
