Hi Friends,

I am a bit confused on deciding whether if I should apply through an employment consultant agency or by myself for the FSW. There are many agencies in my area who are providing the service. They are charging around a total of INR 3 lacs for the service (for main applicant and Spouse). One of the agency guy even told that it will be very difficult if I try to apply by myself as I am unaware of the procedures included (they will say so obviously)
But still, how easy is the FSW application procedure If I go out there and do that by myself? Is it advisable to try it?
Besides, Is it compulsory to take an ECA for applying?

Thanks
Ishak

ishakmohd brother,

relax man!!

it's difficult but not so, that fswp prospective applicant cant fill that...I know YOU HAVE IT IN YOU... 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

GO ahead...start your process with ielts exam registration and preparation as well as ECA (yes original and it's mandatory to be done..if your education is from outside canada)

I know you will be amazed these terms..but within 7 days..you will be accustomed of these...i m sure...

Go through the bible link of FSWP;

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled.asp

Ask as many questions as you can...but make sure..you willl be asking 4-5 questions in a single go..

Let us check..who is going to win...

your questions VS our answers... :o :o :o :o :o

See in CANADA soon...... :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* 8) 8) 8)

[size=9pt] Hi Ishak, One can do it by self by following the threads and asking questions as needed. That said, getting an immigration professional is a personal choice and should be evaluated basis multiple factors. One is time availability at disposal due to office / home responsibilities and may be even patience of asking questions / getting responses on the same here. Sometimes investing in a good immigration professional can also be a wise decision, so I will not under-rate it either. And I know of good professionals with proven track record who charge INR 60K for the entire process (at least that's what they took in May this year so no need to spend huge amounts when one lives in India for that matter).

ECA, IELTS and Reference Letters are the backbone of this process. Good luck in whatever you decide! :)

Oscar Brother....Ditto.. 8) 8) 8) 8)

@Ishak...Common brother...yess you can do it.... :P :P :P

Dear ALL,
Why these is difference of number of received application in spread sheet and CIC website.
In CIC website total recieved applications are 555 while in spread sheet these are more than a thousand

Good work...

whenever who knows about this forum sends applilcation....add his/her name in the sheet.
and
cic updates for those whom they have sent per mail.

Take my case..
I am 7 may applicant with noc code-2174 and cc charge on 23 june but cic haven't still sent me per mail.... :( :(
so technically, I am not into their count of NOc-2174.

hope it helped you to understand the answer...

Enter just 8 digits in the UCI field. Don't forget to chose your country of birth from the list as well.

Thanks cjg1987 for this response however since my previous two organisations have refused to provide any job reference letter, then what options do I have in this case. I read from some of the folks here that a self attested job duties along with the proof that you are employed with the company can work. But if wont work under any circumstance, I dont know how to take it ahead.

I have tried to speak to some of my old colleagues in the previous organisations but no use :(

Best regards,
Ashesh

cjg1987 is quite right, self attested references are not acceptable. You must have read wrong that it worked for others, it only leads to returned application. I find it hard to believe that none of your supervisors or senior colleagues is willing to assist you with the reference, even on plain paper. Surely you must have good work relationships with some of them? I advise that you try again as without it, your application is dead in the water. All the best.
