Seniors.. I have question.. I have sent my application and it reached on 23 Jul

I applied under 2171 NOC. My total experience is 6.6 years
I have categorised as
3.6 years - 2173 --> company 1
1.8 years - 2171 --> company 2
1.2 years - 2171 --> company 3

I have documented job description very well for 2171 NOC for my last 1.8 (company 2) and 1.2 years (company 3)

But the job description that has been given for Company 1 under 2173 NOC is not very good i believe. Below is the detail
• Monitor the critical jobs and fix job abends
• Maintain/modify existing jobs written in VMS script or COBOL language as per the client requirements
• He is involved in all the Development activities like analyzing the designing the code, Coding and Testing
• To maintain the client database that holds the huge information about more than 70 million members
• He was involved in emergency production code move and fixes and Critical manual settings for production job run
• Solve tickets assigned which includes both Data Corrections and Analysis Tickets
• Acted as Module Lead for Claims and Encounters Application

But I applied under 2171 NOC code. Can VO reject my application verifying that 2173 NOC desc didnt match much

If CIC doesn't give you credit for one company, you will still get credit for the others. You think the problem is the letter for company 1, but you still have companies 2 and 3 for your minimum 1 year in 2171, so you'll be fine there. The question is can you make the pass mark without company 1.

i did just that , got letters from most clients , however they just state in one line that i have been purchasing x stuff from them for x number of years since my JD is of a purchase manager . i have purchase orders to support that . as far as the duties matching the NOC is concerned ..........that is self attested.

Self attested duties won't work. Try to get it from the clients.

It is clearly mentioned in the checklist that "self declared main duties or affidavits are not acceptable evidence of work experience".

IM008 - Passport (Country of Issue )

I have an India passport, but it was issued in United Arab Emirates. So, in this section should I mention India or UAE?

I sent my application from US on June 10 2014. it reached on 17th june to Nova Scotia.

I have not heard anything nor my credit card has been debited. Does any one knows whats happenning. Is everything going good. How can I check the status. It is more than month now.

Who got his CC debited from US

Brother, my understanding, NOC 0111 is for non-financial institution. The corresponding NOC for financial institution is NOC 0122 which is not enlisted.

My suggestion, you go through NOC 1114 Other financial officers, try to provide at least 1 year of experience there and rest under NOC 0122. You will get points for both NOC 1114 and NOC 0112.

Thanks for the prompt response Future_Canadian.. I dont think I can manage with 3 years exp (1.8+1.2 years) to reach 67 points. I exactly got 67 points. If I put 3 years, I will loose 4 points. My wife has written IELTS and got 6 band. She got the score card recently. Can i send her scorecard seperately to CIC now ? If I can send now, I can get 5 points under adaptability. Please advise.
