Try to get a personal letter from an ex-manager or colleague who worked with you and was in a position to know your duties. Explain to CIC why a letter was not available. If all you provide are self-attested duties, you will not receive points for your current work. However if you have enough points from other employers and meet the minimum of one year in your primary NOC without this most recent employer you should be fine.

Provide these things when your VO asks for them.

How long will it take for PCC from the places from which you need to get PCC? You can start now if it will take more than a month.

Applied with NOC 2281 Computer network technicians this time as 2173 was changed

I have seen people complaining about various reasons but here is what I have to say. I applied on 2281 Computer network technicians. I have total 7.5 years of IT exp. And the Job Duties letters attached are as per the NOC JD requirements. However, I have got the denial as the first JOB duties performed are not matching with NOC 2281. To be honest, I am confused that this is not true....
I had worked in my 1st MNC for 2.5 years and that again was relevant
Then I worked for 4 years in other MNC (No Comments on this being relevant or not?)
Currently working in 3rd MNC from last 1 year (No Comments on this being relevant or not?)

Anyways the point is now I have to resend my application again with edited Duties as per NOC and what will be the next outcome. I need to know if anyone has been through the same situation before.

Very sorry to hear this.

They specifically said that your job duties did not match 2281? If so, please post all the job duties from all your letters, so they can be analyzed against 2281.

It is doable. We all are doing it.

Still - go to the CIC Website and visit their FSW Section. Review the document checklist and everything. This will give you an idea as to what sort of commitment is required.

Honestly - most of the work on the applicant's behalf still remains the same even if he/she goes through a consultant.

I totally agree with nishesh.. Applicant have to do all work, get all letters, documents etc... Consultants just make sure that they are in compliance with requirements and are in order... For that they charge hefty amount.. I prepared my application and filed for FSW and also helped another friend... In that case, I can be a consultant ...lol...

Hi Guys,

Today, after 2 months of jugglery, my application reached CIC office. Thanks to all of you for intelligent questions and reliable and clear answers. Without you all, I would have definitely taken more time for my application. Updated the spreadsheet with my entry

However I am not really sure if I should be really happy about my application being received by CIC as I have applied for NOC 1112, the so called Hot NOC. I desperately hope that I make it to the cap but I do understand that my chances are really really thin.

Whatever the outcome be, I enjoyed the whole process, interacting with you guys, arranging every document piece by piece...everything... I think after a long time I did something so thoroughly...

So lets see what come next...

The Guide and document checklist tell you what to do if you are self-employed. One of their suggestions is to get letters from clients. So, as long as your clients stated what you did for them, and those duties match the NOC, you should be fine.
