dear seniors ,Exerts please advice..
We have applied for fsw program this time with myself as primary and spouse.

We are applying from India and maintain exact 8 lakhs for this purpose in account.

Canadian dollar value is changing and now I see that the amount 14,720 ( for 2 people) cad equates more than 8 lakhs as the rate is 55.55 ₹.

so will dat lead to rejection..Please advise.

Hi Thoras

If you are yet to file your application please have further amount deposited in your account and preferably make it a little more than the current equivalent of CAD 14720. This is so that you do not run into the same issue again.

If you have already filed your application then what is the current CAD equivalent of the POF that you have submitted ?

[How I can ensure that my file has been received by CIC as my courier receipt (DHL) does not mentioned the name of officer who received my application? Can any one throw some light?]

You should provide both passports. If one of your countries of citizenship allows entry to Canada without visa you should enter that one on the generic application form as that will make things a little easier (you won't need to wait for PR card after landing if you need to leave, you can go ahead of time to arrange a place to live, etc).

Thanks for your advice. May I ask 2 more questions, hope that you can share your ideas.
1. Does the status of dual-citizenship affect the chances of getting a visa?
2. I have HK and Australian citizenships. I have been living in HK over the past 10 yrs, so I just need to provide information/document of this past 10 yrs to CIC. My concern is, will CIC later on come back and ask me for more information/documents about my stay in Australia (which was more than 10 yrs ago)? .....As I worry my application process will become complicated and delayed....

Dear kollins

Thank you for quick reply

Can you help me with one more question.

Additional family declaration requires details of father...

What if my father is no more(expired) do I still have to write details if yes then what would be martial status. And if not then in my mother's details shall I write widow as martial status and complete the form.

Thank you

Yes you must enter father's details. His marital status is DECEASED. (Sorry.)

Your mother's marital status is WIDOWED. (Assuming she has not remarried.)

This is common with DHL. They have 3rd parties delivering to NS on their behalf. Have you spoken with someone in DHL regarding this ?

What is the expected time to transfer the application from NS to Local VO after getting the PER?

Jamal

Roughly 2 weeks, but AOR may be delayed depending on your visa office.

Hi,

My present company is not providing me with experience/reference letter. Is an affidavit stating my roles & responsibilities, annual CTC,working hours, designation with the period will do?
If yes, can anyone help me with the format please?

Self-attested duties are NOT ACCEPTABLE. Suggest obtaining a personal (non-letterhead) letter from a supervisor instead.

For those who have received PER, does the ECAS status change?

Those whose fees are charged read "In Process" and after clicking "We received your application for permanent residence on [date]."

After PER, what would it say?

Thanks.

No. Small variation in currency will not effect your application

When you track it on DHL site, the last statement is "Delivered - Signed by DOUG" e.g. in my case

It can take up to 24 hours after delivery until the signature is shown online. If it arrived today, check again tomorrow and call DHL then if there is no update online.
