I've been wondering about this, too! Man this has been one nerve-racking process, especially for those of us who are in "hot" occupations. I guess it pays to be a professor or a petroleum engineer - up to now, those occupations have had 4 and 0 applications, respectively!

I wish I was a petroleum engineer now instead of working with interactive media development, especially because I chose Calgary as my canadian destination :-D

Also cz no1 applied for it so far lol.

Yeah... I hope nothing worst happen to FSW 2014 because it's really unusual for CIC to stop sending PERs at this stage. :-[

I am a 9th May applicant. Last year, my app was returned twice: first when I missed providing the original ECA report and sent a duplicate, second when the CAP had already reached.

My CC is yet to be charged by CIC. Guess my application is on it's way to India.

Losing sleep now!

:(

It's been weeks since the last PER issued. Any reasons for this? Did it happen last year's FSW? :o :o :o

Last year it was 1 week between cc charge and PER on an average. It looks like this year processing is going to be a long one like 2007, about 3 to 5 years atleast.

For those of whom who are from India and have given their credit card information for fees payment, please make sure that your credit card has been enabled for international usage and have enough international usage limit. As per RBI ruling, banks have put a threshold limit on international usage beyond which users will not be able to spend.

There were two failed attempts by Citizenship and Imm. to charge my HDFC bank credit card as the transaction was denied due to lower international usage limit. Finally they were able to charge in the third attempt after a week and after I had increased the limit. I had emailed them and asked to try again after 2 failed attempts. :)

WOW... 3 to 5 years is a very loooong process. I hope it's not and CIC picks up the phase soon.

Dear All
I have a very bad situation and need your help ,below is a brief detail

I am on a Work permit and my permit is valid till Oct 2014. I have more than 5 years of experience as a telecom engineer and right now I am working in Fort Mcmurray under the Noc 7143 .
I applied for PNP in Nov 2013 but it was refused and reason was given that the job which I am doing right now needs a AIT ticket like a journeyman etc .
Now I applied FSW program and my file was received on 2 june and unfortunately the cedit card details what I have given in the form is blocked and a new cedit card is issued . I sent an email to CIC nova scotia but no response and for a safe side I sent another application with a new cedit card details .
Can somebody guide me what do I do now as my visa is very soon will expire .Guys I need your urgent attention and advise please
regards

My 2 cents, you should call 1(613)944-4000, mon-fry 9am-4pm (CIC) and after some confirmations you'll be able to talk to agent (hopefully) and try to update your credit card information or something like this, so you get this 1st application approved (as I think that would be what you want the most).

How about trying that?

Guys I'll be shifting to other place in the same city...How do I inform CIC about it....my app reached there on 18th June...

Hi All,

Can someone please help me with Current Occupation and Intended occupation details in Generic form? Do we write our designations over there or the NOC code?

for eg. Current Occupation : Test Analyst Intended Occupation : Software Engineer

or
Current Occupation : 2283 Intended Occupation : 2173

If I attach the additional A4 sheet with application, do we need to provide the only remaining details(ie. continue from where we left in the form) in the A4 sheet which we were not able to fill in the form or All the details(answer that question again) related to that question.

The Charge Estimates provided by Dmitryich are again proving to be close to accurate. As per the prediction, 12th may estd first charge date was 23rd and it seems correct!!

+1 for the reminder....

Yes it seems more accurate....!!!

Hi Guys,

Does anyone have any idea that after paying for RPRF, when you print the receipt, only your name section is filled, all other sections like dob, client id, address, postal code, area code and telephone no. are empty. So my question is do we need to fill these fields before sending to VO or do we just send what we print.

Thank you guys.
