Helloo

I am planning to apply for FSW soon.
Seniors and Experienced peoples pls can you help me answer the below question.

Employment experience letter should be recent or can I use the old one?

I have changed my employer 2 years back and I have the experience letter which satisfies CIC requirements which was prepared 2 years back, Will that help or should I get a current dated one from the old employer again.

Appreciate your help and support
Thanks :)
Sonie

Hi FSW, No immigration expert that I know of (and yes my knowledge is limited to an extent) recommends showing property as POF. I don't think property sounds reasonable either as per CIC's direction, though their use of that word might be confusing (I agree!). If you are bent upon showing house / land etc. as POF please do share with us the outcome of your application. I think it would be good for us to get a confirmation on our understanding so far. But equally, in the back of your mind, be prepared for the worst from CIC. Best wishes! :)

PS - Property does not only mean house or land, it also refers to stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills as stated there and other forms of liquid and unencumbered assets.

The thing with house or land is at times it can stay in the market for sale for ages and the potential seller may not find an appropriate buyer / rate and then CIC does not want to get in tricky situations like these where for whatever reason the guy doesn't have settlement funds and his / her visa is already granted. Now if the guy comes to Canada and takes time to find a decent paying job he / she becomes a strain on their system in Canada.

Oscar7 is right!

Here I would like to add that - the heading " how much should you bring? " refers to the money you can bring when u travel the first time to Canada ( at the time of landing!) not as proof of fund ( POF). Don't take such a risk! Ur application would surly come back!!

I submitted application without payslip and offer letter for recent employer as from the document checklist they were additional supporting documents.
So i decided not to include them will it create problem or anybody rejected because of this reason.

Friends...along with the masters degree certificates I also included an affadivit stating that the PGDM program of our college was considered equivalent to Masters degree...will inclusion of this affadivit in the college sealed envelope going to create any problem..also the WES Academic request form I filled has US address in the last row....let me know if it is ok ?
Hi, the inclusion of your PGD was unnecessary as it is not equal to a master's degree. It is lower. And WES will only evaluate your highest educational qualification which is your master's degree.
What do you mean by the address you filled? Is it your own address or your school's address?
Anyway, all the best :)

I heard it take around 22 days to get PCC from FBI. If it is true, you should be fine. How many days VO has given to provide PCC?

I got my FBI PCC done. Timeline is as follows:

Documents reached FBI --> May 28th
I got the report on --> July 9th

That old one will do. If the signatory is currently not working, you can give his current contact address along with contact address of HR so that if require, VO can contact them.

Hi, they are expressly classified as supporting documents in the Document Checklist so rest easy. No issues at all :)

1.Translation copy is original and notarized and translated by certified translator.
2. Photocopy of the original BC notarized.

I constantly see you guys talking about PCC and FBI documents. I am from Brazil and the police in here the federal police provides these kinds of documents. Do I have to reach FBI (US) as well?

Well you never know...if you will clear or not...you might as well because they are more concerned with job duties. However, those supporting documents would have made your case clear to the VO. Anyways, I have not heard anyone submitting there file like that on the forum. so for me you are the first one so lets hope and see what your result will be.

Cheers and Best of Luck...!!!
