Debit card is also acceptable, however from the description it is evident that u need to maintain (as with all other debit cards) required balance plus at least 10% for any exchange rate differential and bank charges but correct answer can only be given by ur bank. Ask them the following

"Can i use my debit/credit card in Canada from POS machine? Although CIC use POS machine but also check if they accept online transaction.

I assume that by "work as CC", the bank means it doesn't require PIN at POS machine. Do u have to enter the PIN every time u shop using the card? If yes, have u provided that PIN code to CIC?

No I do not need to enter PIN code anywhere and I payed the WES with it twice without any problems

Then need not to worry, it will be same process from better quality merchandiser. Just maintain required balance + 10% as contingency.

If you look at the FSWP 2014 Spreadsheet at http://tinyurl.com/FSW14-Spreadsheet you will see that there are quite a few people who are in the light green i.e. Status as “D. Payment Charged” – What does this mean and how do they know? Do they get an email or do they call up the CIC? I'm sorry if this is a newbie question.

I'd be grateful for any help.

They will receive a text from their Bank for the Credit Card charge or for DD the applicants would have contacted their Bank. These are the only two ways to know that their payment is en-cashed.

Is there any one whose ECAS status disappeared after showing IN PROCESS and yet received PER email.
I am in this boat and dont know what to conclude. I dont know if my file is back or ECAS is having issue. I have not got PER email yet. I am may 6th applicant and DD cashed long back.

Please check DOB in ECAS page. Now, the format is mm/dd/yyyy.
Previously it was dd/mm/yyyy

This is my observation.

Hi Jig nesh this is really strange. I hope it is an error in the UCI you are putting or something .. verify the information you are entering. Is the error different, then when there was no information.

I suppose after In Process they can't simply delete it if the deem something wrong with the application.

COUNTRY OF CITIZENSHIP - INDIA

1) 2002 - 2004 - STUDENT VISA (SCHENGEN VISA) - GERMANY
2) DURING 2002 - 2004 - TOURIST VISA - POLAND - VISITED FOR 1 DAY (NOTE: POLAND WAS NOT A PART OF SCHENGEN IN 2004)
3)WHEN COMING BACK TO INDIA I WENT TO DENMARK FOR ONE NIGHT AND TOOK THE FLIGHT FROM COPENHAGEN TO MILAN TO MUMBAI, GOT EXIT STAMP ON MY PASSPORT IN MILAN AS ITALY IS SCHENGEN COUNTRY,

DID NOT GET STAMP IN COPENHAGEN BECAUSE, FROM COPENHAGEN I TRAVELLED TO MILAN, WHICH IS ALSO A SCHENGEN COUNTRY

CAME TO INDIA IN 2004

4) 2007 - 2014(TILL DATE) - WORK PERMIT - UAE

RENEWED THE PASSPORT AND GOT INDIAN PASSPORT 2 IN JAN 2009

DUE TO SOME MISTAKES DONE BY INDIAN EMBASSY IN MY ADDRESS.

I ASKED THEM TO ISSUE NEW PASSPORT BOOKLET

DID NOT TRAVEL ANYWHERE ON PASSPORT 2

GOT INDIAN PASSPORT3 ON SEPTEMBER 2009

TRAVELLED TO AND FRO TO INDIA ON PASSPORT 3 , MAY BE 4 TIMES IN 4 YEARS, MOSTLY AS A VACATION TO HOME COUNTRY.

QUESTIONS:

1) WHETHER I SHOULD MENTION THAT I WENT TO COPENHAGEN FOR ONE DAY (THERE IS NO STAMP ON MY PASSPORT)
2) WHETHER I SHOULD MENTION ABOUT MILAN (AS IT WAS JUST A TRANSIT, BUT I HAVE EXIT STAMP OF MILAN ON MY PASSPORT 1)
3) WHAT ABOUT MY VISITS FROM DUBAI TO INDIA (AS I VISITED INDIA ONE A YEAR FOR 20 DAYS TO 2 MONTHS)

IAM SORRY FOR SUCH A LONG AND DETAILED QUESTION, BUT THIS IS MY PROBLEMS.

HOPE EVERYONE IN THIS GROUP UNITE AND SOLVE MY PROBLEMS.

I have been away lately .. have there been any new encashed DD's or Credit cards after 7th May ??


i just checked a thread for PER applicants and it seems CIC is working for them .. people in that thread have had their applications recieved after 20 June have recieved AOR ..

just that CIC is not working for us is heartbreaking ..

the count was 505 our of 25000 as per their site updated on June 20 , after 24 days .. they have updated on 14th july the count has increased to 516 ..

This is really lathargic ... i know all of you will ask me to be patient .. but stating the obvious that they are not working professionally is not impatient

It is frustrating I am going the FSW2 route and my app was received 26th May. It's now 14th July and no update what so ever. I would have thought CEC, FSW2 and FSW3 apps would get priority. I suppose we just have to wait
