Most of the world was busy in worldcup, n most of the matches were during their working hours. Also, don't forget storm Arthur, which left half of NS without electricity.

When u don't have power at ur house for whole day, first thing u will do in office is to iron ur shirt, charge mobile, share ur experience on FB, and then watch some news channel. Thats what they were doing. Power has been restored and hopefully so will the processing be.

Storm yes, but seriously world cup can hold them back from working?

I have been away lately .. have there been any new encashed DD's or Credit cards after 7th May ??

i just checked a thread for PER applicants and it seems CIC is working for them .. people in that thread have had their applications recieved after 20 June have recieved AOR ..

just that CIC is not working for us is heartbreaking ..

the count was 505 our of 25000 as per their site updated on June 20 , after 24 days .. they have updated on 14th july the count has increased to 516 ..

This is really lathargic ... i know all of you will ask me to be patient .. but stating the obvious that they are not working professionally is not impatient

What are PER applicants?

Not in Canada, they don't care about soccer. Now the Stanley Cup finals, Winter Olympics, World Curling Championships... yes

Hi ,
apologies , its not PER .. it is for CEC-PR , people who are already employed in canada , but my point is that they have been working for them , why not us ?

Re: May 2014 CEC-PR Applications

Please help here. My education include Regular Diploma (3 years), Correspondence Bachelor Degree (3 years) and Regular Masters Degree (3 years).
At CIC, are they going to give me full marks on masters degree or they going to deduct Bachelor Degree points since that is correspondence?
so my education points will be 21 or 22 or 23?
Thanks for help.

Lool ok guys now seriously. ..no sporting competition will ever effect the speed of application processing. ..I may be wrong but they are in charge of other types of applications not just FSW right? ..those take time too...

Re: May 2014 CEC-PR Applications

I don't know if you have noticed but in Jan 2014/Feb 2014 people under CEC received AOR in 17-22 days but now its taking 40-45 days. Another thing is no. of application received towards CEC are less compared to FSW. Too many application were received at CIO in first half of May under FSW so they are busy clearing it.

They will reply you back in 2-3 days.

I noticed that people in PER got their AOR in DD's encashed in leess than 15days , infact some of them got AOR in 15 days .. you can check the complete thread i pasted in my last reply

this is my concern ... that it has not happened after that .. its good that you are very optimistic and have patience . but to me this is unprofessional from CIC and i wanted to paste this in this Forum cause i believe that some of the people would agree , the way they have been going about it is very very slow.

Trust me if they opened FSW for 25000 people and other programmes as well and they are charging 550 $ atleast for the initial fee , they knew what they were getting themselves into .. they definitely had an idea that majority applications will come in the first half of may.

Having excuses like Football world cup and others dont really fit the cut here , as to what they are working is their job , almost all of us are working individuals here , how many of us have completely left work ?? i dont think anybody .. the point is their graph in the last month has gone from bad to worse ..

you can be positive , but i am extremely dissappointed , i know i need it more than they do and that i have the only option of waiting , nothing else . but putting across my point that they are extremely bad at how they are treating this years candidates is not a crime, it may improve in the next month infact i hope it does.

just a ques though , if they are launching express entry as predicted in January .. do they really believe they can handle this load of 25000 people this year in the remaining 5 to 6 months ..

just utterly dissappointed with CIC thats all , i hope that you all get my point that i am really pissed at CIC and do not mean harm to any one of you ...

its just getting on my nerves and my patience is just giving in ..

Hi

It is better to check with MCC. If they evaluate your highest degree, you do not need evaluation from WES for matric or fsc.

Regards

Have you received your assessment from CES? How long does it take because they received by application on 12/06/2014 but I have not heard anything except confirmation of my application.

Is there any one whose ECAS status disappeared after showing IN PROCESS and yet received PER email.
I am in this boat and dont know what to conclude. I dont know if my file is back or ECAS is having issue. I have not got PER email yet. I am may 6th applicant and DD cashed long back.
