This is my first query to the forum. I don't have surname in my passport. While filling the form, it is must to enter the surname.

So i entered my given name in surname and left given name blank.

Please let me know if this is OK.

Anyone here on forum, who has WES evaluation completion date as "17-July" and still waiting for the evaluation result. Its been more than a month since they received my documents and still the status is "Evaluation in progress". I have seen few ppl on this forum who's status changed to Evaluation completed in a day or two from "Evaluation in progress". Tried mailing them twice but got the standard reply saying due to large volume its taking more time. Dont think they check the status of your app and reply back.

Any advise on above? Should I call them up to check the status?

I have created one of my friends WES acc....She is having similar situation....

So stay relax....17th Jul have not passed and please wait until then.....

Can someone throw some light on the progress of category 2133 - Electrical and electronics engineers. A large no of persons from the initial days are still waiting for their CC to be charged. Why CIC is taking so much time in this category ?

my wife mother's name is balaneelaveni it is as in all documents(10th marksheet, marriage certificate, passport) but in birth certificate it is as neelaveni. will it make any issue..

My application reached wes on 6th June. Was acknowledged by them on 10th June. It remained in the document received review in progress status for the next 10 days i.e till the 20th June and has been in evaluation in progress status ever since. Completion date is 18th July. Still have'nt got it.


Calling them doesnt make much of a difference as they give a standard reply.

Hello everyone,

I am new to the forum.... I applied for Canadian Immigration under 2132 (Mechanical Engineering), FSW 2014 on 2nd July, 2014 from Karachi, Pakistan. My application was received by CIO on 6th July, 2014. I applied myself making my husband co-applicant to claim 5 points for the adaptability, showing his IELTS score. Our total self evaluated points are around 72. The only hiccup is that my husband is currently working for Pakistani Air Force and he has served his mandatory period of almost 18 years, now he can resign from the Air force and claim his benefits. We have also mentioned everything in the application including his various posting all across Pakistan. I was wondering if Canadian immigration system allows serving personnel to be an applicant or a co-applicant as in my case. What are my chances of getting through due to two problems first applying a little late as mentioned, my application was received on 6th July, 2014 and my husband being an Air Force officer...... You shouldn't worry about those points. You will most likely make the cap, and serving in a military is not grounds for rejection. You did the right thing by mentioning it in the application. You will probably get a stringent background check, but other than that there is no reason to worry.
