Good day!

I applied through a consultant last year but unfortunately my papers were returned due to cap filled. I asked my consultant for the UCI number but he said that there's no way that CIC issued the UCI number as my files weren't opened by CIC, which is I doubt very much. How can I contact CIC and asked for that UCI number?

Contact them again and demand your UCI number. If your application was opened and examined, even if rejected due to cap, you were assigned a UCI. Your consultant is being lazy and refusing to give you the assistance they promised in return for your money. Don't let them get away with it.

If a letter is written on company letterhead, it implies that the communication is given with the approval of the company. Because that company no longer exists, in my mind this is giving a false impression. Also, the information given on the letterhead (phone number, e-mail address, etc) may be used by the local VO to verify the letter. If the company no longer exists, presumably any attempt to contact it will fail.

Instead I suggest a personal letter written by the CEO which explains your duties and also explains that the company no longer exists, so only a personal letter is possible. This should not negatively affect your application so long as the letter is genuine. You may want to supplement the letter with some other supporting evidence such as old business cards, salary slips, etc.

Very well explained and welcome mate. +1.

To me, a letterhead can be used but it should be mandatory to use cover letter to inform closure of the company. Even the closure information can be written in the reference letter too.

HI, Hope you doing great. My query is I have sent my application on 26th June 2014 and it reaches on 30th June 2014. How long i have to wait for PER and I have files all papers. Only doubt is as following.

I am claiming points for experience for 6 years. But I have worked in first company for 3 years and attached refrence letters and in second company for 11 months but have nnot attached refrence letter and expalined in letter saying that I am not claiming points for this experinece and for third company i spend 3.5 years and attached refrence letter and my current company i have attached only offer letter as i just joined a moth back . is it correct wht i have done?. Please suggest.
Thanks

I think you are ok. Ideally, any job where you don't have a reference letter you would explain why it's not available. And there is no need to say that you are not claiming points for a certain employment. CIC will evaluate each employment and determine whether you can earn points for it or not. But these are not major defects especially if you will get enough points from reference letters to make the pass mark.

As for when you can get PER, nobody knows. There was a huge flood of applications when the program re-opened, and PERs have only come to people who applied in the first few days. Maybe it will speed up soon, but I advise you to be patient (I know it's hard!) as a June 30 application may well have to wait until September.

It should not be an issue. i had kept it blank during Open work permit and it worked fine.

1. If NOC 0111 matches with your roles, then you can surely eligible. I have seen "collections department manager" as titles there. But also look into 0122 and ensure that your roles don't match very much with it if you want to apply 0111.

2. Though it is tough to predict 2 months ahead, I think, NOC 0111 will not be capped at that time.

3. Hopefully within 2/3 days.

I've just heard from a consultant friend that wes needs transcripts for all years.

This is not correct.

I had seen my transcripts they were all consolidated
