Hi everyone!

I've been on holiday for over 2 weeks and just returned. I was enjoying family and going places and had no time to read the forum. I'll be back on trying my best to help everyone starting probably tomorrow.

During my holiday I also had no way to check the status of my DD. So first thing this morning I went to the bank and to my great joy learned that MY DD WAS CASHED ON JULY 3RD!!! I'm so thankful for this.

I am only on mobile device right now so I will update the spreadsheet when I am on my computer. Or the mods can do it for me. For the forum's information, I was May 7th applicant in 1112. I also had one of my employer's letters (out of 2 that would gain points) that provided basic info but no duties and an accompanying supervisor letter (not on letterhead) stating my duties. So CIC has apparently accepted this. None of my documents were notarized except my supervisor letter.

I will try to catch up on recent happenings tomorrow. Good luck to everyone and keep your hopes alive!

The visa office in Cairo is much faster than London Visa office. I advise you to use your country of nationality.http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/skilled-fed.asp
However, if you insist on using London as your visa office, you must translate your Iqama, entry visas and all your documents which are not in English or French language, then you must submit a notarized /Certified copy of the original document(s) you have translated

Speaking of Cairo VO...forum members here have previously informed me that due to the political situation in Egypt last year's applications were transfered to CPC-OTTAWA which was actually in the applicants favourite as it was faster. ..what's the situation this year? And what's the average time line we should expect ?

I'm also Egyptian living in saudi. .. for the iqama Ihave translated my current and my previous expired one as well in addition to a translation for the stamped work visa from passport... the requirement is to show that you are a resident for at least one year... for the second question I'm not sure if I understood it well, but you Can chose either Cairo office or Saudi which is handled by London office.. and process time for both is quite slow..

Hope this helps

Remember that your file will be submitted to Canada CIC then they will forward it to the related VO.

According to my understanding. The proof of Fund is to make sure that you have enough money to be able to spend for living until you find a job and settle down, so not really sure if the apartment contract will work. Experts here are welcomed to confirm or clarify.

Good day!

I applied through a consultant last year but unfortunately my papers were returned due to cap filled. I asked my consultant for the UCI number but he said that there's no way that CIC issued the UCI number as my files weren't opened by CIC, which is I doubt very much. How can I contact CIC and asked for that UCI number?

Do you not have the papers that were returned to you last year? If you have them, then the UCI number will be hand-written on one of your application forms. That is the only way to find out if you have a number.

As far as i remember you can leave UCI no. blank if ur not sure. When CIC people put in ur passport no. they will get to know ur UCI no. automatically. So there is no worry. Do not put anything in UCI no. space. Just leave it blank

I am desperately waiting for my WES assessment to get completed. Its almost a month since they received the application. Any one here who has the assessment end date mentioned as 18th July or later and got the result?

Thanks.

People here on the forum have had experience in sending additional documents, days after having sent the application. You need to write a cover letter explaining the situation. Only loss is that your new application-received-date will be the date they receive the updated document. But still a better bargain than to have them have an incomplete application.
Regards
nskatcv, do we have any cases in the past wherein the date received got revised after sending additional documents?

@seniors, please comment!

I think u got the wrong date..
I honestly think that WES is doing things in time. If you had sent on June 18th, expect it anytime now.
