As far as i know ICAS caters all HEC recognized universities. Yes It takes more time then WES but I don't have the option to go for WES. I am from university of central punjab.

Does ICAS have your university on the list?

Note: ICAS takes up more time in preparing reports compared to WES.

Hi,
Me & my wife have reissued our passport, as her name was of before marriage and mine was not carrying her name in passport.
Due to short time we applied with earlier valid passport and with her name of before marriage as it was valid & allowed.

Now I have to inform Local visa office & CIC as still my application at CIC for change of name of my wife and update of passport of our both.

However the issue is, for my wife along with the name in passport now the signature is also different as her previous signature was carrying her surname.

So what you guys think on "change of signature". If it was about only name then VO or CIC can change it into their database. But here is the case where along with name, signature is also required to update.

What would be the next course of actions?

No problem at all, just relax. If your application is accepted by CIO, it will be transferred to VO for further processing. When VO contacts you, you can inform them. They will tell you which forms to refill and resend which will capture your wife's new names, signature and anything else. Worry not, all the best

I understand the logic behind ur question and its RIGHT. It will take more time for 7 July app then 7 May App. but when average figures are calculated all these noises are already incorporated.

So 1st May app will take 6-8 months,
7th May App will take 7-9 month (average backlog will be achieved by 7th May apps)
7th July App will take 8-10 months

All the international DD are for 6 months. I got it confirmed with SBI NRI Cell. Then I went to HDFC and spoke to them. by god grace there was a manager who knew about international DD. He confirmed that the three months period is only for local DD's and all International DD issued from india are for 6 months.

When I asked them to give 1250 DD, then they were looking for 15c etc. They also wanted to get signed from Chartered account. No sure why all these things. I then requested two 550 CADS & one 150 CAD .

I am now a bit confused, do immigration accept 3 DD or should it be a single DD

Secondly my DD is handwritten, Is that ok

Though I am not senior, I can share my experience with u as I too faced similar problem.... you can quote bank that u need foreign currency DD and as per Annexure 1 of purpose codes you can quote requirement of DD under S1109 (Other Personal, Cultural & recreational services), so that is the reason you do not require any Form 15C from CA.

Preferred is one DD, (Try with Axis Bank, They are bit practical (ICICI and HDFC sucks), executives and their bosses do not know rules and they prefer to remain on safer side by getting form 15C which may help them during audits (As it involves foreign currency transaction).

Handwritten is not a problem, it should have proper ref no. which is used by banks when they do transaction and proper beneficiary name written on it (of course legible)

Yes I was confused about attestation and and form fillings and asked ICAS about it they replied quickly which was a good sign. I hope i get the documents soon. First I have to get HEC attestation. Ok one question is that ICAS said they only require bachelors and masters degrees and transcripts with HEC attestation. But do I have to take matric and intermediate docs to HEC whether it is required or not by ICAS because HEC website mentions to bring in all documents at the time of attestation.

Great, if u have already clarified the procedure especially related to attestation of docs, filling of Authrization form (don't remember exact name), and sending the envelop.

Btw i am also from UCP and faced this issue. In January ICAS was took around 7/8 weeks.

I am applying for me and my wife ... So i will I have to pay $1100 via DD ... is this is the right amount iam calculating ... Also since name of the payer and address of the payer is mine i.e same as principal applicant so i should leave these boxes blank or should I write Not Applicable ...
