btw there is another masculine name "Sahir", not sure if its spelled "Sair" in BD.

All the international DD are for 6 months. I got it confirmed with SBI NRI Cell. Then I went to HDFC and spoke to them. by god grace there was a manager who knew about international DD. He confirmed that the three months period is only for local DD's and all International DD issued from india are for 6 months.

When I asked them to give 1250 DD, then they were looking for 15c etc. They also wanted to get signed from Chartered account. No sure why all these things. I then requested two 550 CADS & one 150 CAD .

I am now a bit confused, do immigration accept 3 DD or should it be a single DD

Secondly my DD is handwritten, Is that ok

Dear All,

Hope everyone will be fine. My Application was delivered on 8th May at 9:41 am received by Mike and mode of payment was DD.
Today, I have checked with my bank but as per them DD hasn't been charged yet.

Any idea when will we start hearing about DD's being charged for 8th May?

Only the diploma and transcript copy I didn't send with my package, for me I will send a new application coz I don't want to wait until they sent my application back it might take 2 months

My first application has been received by CIC on May 20 and I didn't hear from them yet, to be on the safe side I think is better to apply again ASAP

As u r obtaining all these letter in current date, ask for your name to be as per your current passport and also ask them to mention ur name at the time of employment in brackets

like Saira Ahmad (Saira XYZ at the time of employment)

Later you explain it in your cover letter.

This way, CIC will not have any issue in correlating things and will not cause confusion in ur organizations at the time of checking.

Btw, if you have official "Name Change" certificates (most probably from NADRA), then it wont matter but above suggestion is based on the practice that usually name change document is not obtained.

However, it would be better (read essential) if you obtain proper name change document (not sure if it will be from NADRA or some other authority).

For those who applied using Credit Card as Form of Payment and not charged yet

PLEASE KEEP THAT CREDIT CARD IN A SECURED PLACE at home or somewhere till you get charged. Carry another credit card for your daily use.

Just wanted to make you careful because I know someone who lost his credit card and had to block it. His application was returned due to CC charge failed.

Only one DD is enough for you , your spouse and your kids.

I took one for all 4 of us.

And one question - Does this international DD valid time applies to Royal Bank of Scotland aswell??

Two DD's for 550 and one for 150 is ok. You are safe.
