Hi everyone,
How do you know your file has been transferred to VO after PER?
Tks

Some VOs send an Acknowledgment Of Receipt email once the file is recieved by them...Some don't. ..but all will certainly send a Medical Request but that could take time

Hi All,

I just got a call from my CC company about an international transaction and I missed the call. I called back the customer care and asked them if they let the transaction go through but they said as I didn't pick the call they didn't. Instead they said as now I had authorized that merchant they would let any transactions if they see any in future.
But I think I'm lucky as I had sent multiple payment forms with different credit cards. And I just see that there was a transaction for 1,033.40 from "CITIZENSHIP IMM FS SYDNEY CAN" on a different CC but with the same company. I called the CC company to confirm and they said they did approve the transaction and should be complete ones the merchant en-cash the money.

I hope this is goes through.

My details on Spread sheet:
Name: Ezapa
NOC: 2171
App Recd by CIC : 5/8/2014

Regards,
Ezapa

Congrats! !! Yes that does mean that your DD has probably been encashed but you can always double check with your bank if possible

And yes your PER is probably on its way as per the current trend suggesting that payment of processing fees is an almost guarantee of positive eligibility. ..so yes you are through to the next stage !

Thanks medwiz, this surely calls for a relief :) since the status says inproces, it surely means that CIC has debited the funds. but will check wiith the concerned authorities to know the status.

Also what do i need to expect as a part of the next step ? can you help me understand this ?

Do not forget to keep a cover letter explaining that they should first try to encash the bank draft and credit card authorization is only a back-up option in case of any problem with bank draft.. and also they should return the bank draft in case they use cc..

Next step of course would be you receiving the PER email...This might take a little time ...then your file is transferred to the local VO and if yours is New Delhi then I think they send you another email confirming receiving the file. ...then they do their background checking and processing. .then they send you a request for medicals and an updated PCC and maybe updated POF. ..then request you to pay the RPRF ...then passport request. ..then visa stamping...then you're pretty much on your way to Canada

Still long way to go but hopefully your on the right track. ..good luck

I am completely puzzled with the way CIC updates the number of completed applications. Does it include only the people with PER or it includes those people with CC charged/DD encashed?

Indirectly, updated number means people who received PER.

For some reason, Fedex guys took my application to send to PO BOX address. My Question is

Will it be returned by fedex or CIC office.

Did you processed by your own?
Im thinking to process my apllication thru Agency/ Consultancy Immigration.. Is it helpful? I already completed all the requirements and I got 70 points.. thanks

It depends on a lot of things and on a case by case basic. It will depend mostly on the type of the disorder, the severity, and the current or potential financial burden it can cause to the Canadian government. For example, if it is something like a down's syndrome and you don't have to pay too much for the health costs (there is a maximum amount, you can find that somewhere else), then there shouldn't be too much problem. But, if it is something like cancer and you have to spend substantially, then there is a higher chance of getting rejected.

There are other threads in this forum that talk a lot about medical related issues. You can do a search and read them. I think a forum member called 'computergeek' is the go-to guy for this kind of stuff.
Thank you namaste

Hi, mistakenly I have sent my application package to PO address thru Fedex.. and it get delivered to CIC with proof of delivery.

Bingka said:
Couriers or door to door deliveries do not deliver packages to PO Boxes. The couriers only deliver to physical addresses. You would likely get back your package and need to send it to this address:

(Your name)
(Your Address)
(Your Postal Code)
Recipient (centre of the envelope)
Citizenship and Immigration Canada
Federal Skilled Worker
NOC Category, Offer of Arranged Employment category or PhD category
Primary NOC 2011 Code: XXXX
49 Dorchester Street
Sydney, NS
B1P 5Z2
Canada

In the SS, there are applicants whose papers were received between May 1 and May 2 and still awaiting for their CC to be charged. Can we consider them as out of the game?

I think PER. My CC was charged but PER is still awaited...yesterday's updation in numbers didn't effect my NOC so I consider it is updated as per PER.
