On Letter Head Paper

Balance Confirmation Certificate

This to certify that Mr. Century, son of MR MY_FATHER'S-NAME, residing at MY_ADDRESS, is maintaining the account, account name and account number, from DDMMYY till today. His current bank balance as of today, DDMMYY, is Tk NNNNNN.NN, which is equivalent to Canadian Dollar nnnnnnnn.nn.

Canada Changes rule to get citizenship for immigrants.....

I read " Applicant have to give Language Test again when applying for Citizenship"...Is this so ???

Many more changes I found regarding period of stay in Canada...

Hmmmm...Canada is giving almost 25000 thousand professionals to live and work in Canada only..
Other side, they are changes rules for citizenship........ :

Might possible they will also change rules for extension of PR in coming year....

Canada wants to align itself more like usa and european countries. Moreover with last 2 decade patterns they have learned people dont stay in canada if citizenship is awarded within 5 years. Therefore they want to make sure only those are awarded citizenship, who live longer there. And when someone has stayed longer ( say 7+ years) he is less likely to leave, coz by then he is too much into the system and starts to like living there anyway.

personally I feel this is the right step forward, atleast for canadian economy.

Forget this, have you read the news, that citizenship - according to canadian ministers should be privilege and not a right. It can be revoked on certain grounds even after it gets awarded. Ofcourse you and I are not the types to fall in that net ever, but this does speak for where they are heading in terms of keeping control with them. Currently this bill in the parliament is objected by various human rights organization, criticized by immigration officers and companies, and curiously followed and tracked by media.

What dates are going on at processing centre?? Are they done with 8th May applications ?? Any speculations on 30th June applicants?? Do you think seats would be more than halfway till then!! According to cic website if till 4th may they have received 400 completed applications, then I was wondering till 30 June how many application would be done!

yes my dear waiting for longgggggg time ... in my case my application reached there at 9:47 am and my lawyer is in canada itself and i enquired about the status yesterday and yet to get a reply from CIC ... that means its not rejected yet...

me too in the May 7th list, didn't get a reply yet. don't know what these guys are upto.

What is complicated is that a lot of applicant´s lives are sort of frozen because of this process... as for me, I can´t make any decision in my professional life right now (like applying for better jobs) before knowing if I am in or not in the game, and that is killing me...
Almost 2 months waiting...

DHL issue

I had send my application by DHL express on 30th June! Since 2nd June it is showing " forwarded for delivery" . Did anyone face similar problem?? No updates at all in their tracking system since last two days!

IT HAPPENS WITH DHL......BCOZ DHL USE LOCAL COURIER COMPANY FOR FINAL DELIVERY IN CANADA....
WAIT FOR A DAY OR TWO......YOU WILL GET DETAILS......

I believe an immigration decision is a big decision for anyone, and 3-6 months time is the least it will take. Our minds are conditioned that the entire process will take about a year in India, and the time varies as we all know VO wise. So a mere 2-3 months wait is kind of expected guys. Don't think CIO is to be blamed if one can't hold their horses, right? Tell me if I am being unjust in saying so!! I am open to criticism pals!!!

No buddy not criticising ....the problem is with the procedure of process..but any how they are going for express entry from next year and that will solve these kind of issues... but the problem is ..waiting time.. for me I desperately need to change company... and if I get this through then I will stay in the current firm despite not interested... ...

I have a theory guys that I would like to share with you.

Last year, at least 5000 applications were over cap ( 10 hot NOCs * 500 application per NOC). At least 80% of these applicants resubmitted during the first couple or three weeks of May....so the CIO will spend at least three to four months just clearing these apps....
The moral behind the theory: be extra patient!

When it comes to delivery to CIO, DHL is the worst among the big three couriers. I have highlighted this SEVERAL times in my post. Read my comments:

Brother, Although moral might be right your data is a little flawed. Last year 300 per NOC.

300 is the cap...500 is the over cap!
