Can I have recommendation from colleague of my same dept (finance) who is in the same position/level as me
It's possible but if VO should check up on this reference, expect lots of questions and delays with your application. It's much better to get it from your senior colleague or supervisor if you can't get it from HR. All the best :)

Does the CIO Officer will be requesting later on for an Original Work Contract aside from the Original Reference Letter? Many thanks!!

Hi All,

Got my IELTS result today. I appeared on 21st June.

Listening: 6.0
Reading: 6.0
Writing: 6.5
Speaking: 5.5
Overall: 6.0

I was very confident that, i will score well in IELTS, but after seeing the above result shattered my confidence. British council has screwed up my PR chances.

What should i do now:-
1) Apply for re-evaluation?

2) Sit for IELTS again?

Thanks & Regards,
Hi, it's advisable you sit for a new test as your overall test scores in other sections are just average and not much above the minimum. You should prepare better this time to ensure you achieve much higher marks and then there will be no question as to your abilities. Good luck to you :)

Does anyone have any experience of getting PCC from Spain..(from outside Spain) ??

No man dont misguide any one. Debit cards are never acceptable.

Sorry, not misguiding anyone...

I have Mastercard and Visa Debit cards that accept international transactions, and they both work. I have used them many times - online or POS in the UK and US.

Hi jsb85,
It is advised to take new test, because re-evaluation takes lot of time and the score might not increase. So, work hard and take the test again, it will increase your chances of getting better score.

Question. Does the CIO officer calls the Manager/Supervisor that you have put as your reference in the Reference Letter? Because I'm afraid my Manager have changed his mobile number instead, HELP!

once in blue moon, but your local VO officer might call, if he notices something fishy.

Hi, you are to place copies of your work contract and reference letter with your initial application and it is very possible that your VO mayl later ask for the original documents to review. It might happen, it might not, it all depends on your overall application and the VO officer handling it. Best of luck to you, :)

Answer. The VO may call your referee and if they can't reach him you will be informed. At that point you can explain that his number has changed and supply them the new one. VO doesn't just reject applications for these reasons, they do follow up before arriving at final decision so relax. All the best :)

If it is international debit card, it should work. Before proceeding with debit card, applicants are requested to talk with the bank that provide the card.

also, can i underline a line in my work experience documents - like - offer letter from an employer and underline that "...with effect from...." to draw their attention to it - i need to draw their attention to it for a specific reason and cannot explain in text over here - it will turn out into an essay.

For all cases, provide 3 different entries.

Suggest not write anything on any documents; if require, add post-it or cover letter.

Hi,
It seems that CIC started charging 8th of May files! What about the rest of file before 8th? In means all that file are going to rejecte?! There are a huge amount of file from first to 7th of May which are waiting without any response from CIC... . :'(
