Is it safe to assume that the new CAP updates includes some of May 7 applicants?

Yes, it is lot of time and still 50 from our forum and globally few hundreds are waiting for their DD to be charged.

Hi People,
Need a suggestion from you experienced guys..! I have a friend who applied for NOC 2173 under FSW 2014. His application reached CIC on 7th May. He provided his CC (SBI Credit Card) details as his preferred method of payment in his application package.

Now on 17th June, he received 3 SMSs from SBI saying that and “ATM Transaction” is failed on his card due to insufficient funds. He immediately called up SBI customer care and they confirmed that no transaction attempt was made on his card and the SMSs that he received could be fake.

Its been 14 days no and the payment has not been encashed on his card which panics him right now.

The suggestion that I need from you guys is that, given the situation,

1. Should he just assume that his those 3 attempts were made by CIC and his application stands rejected?
2. Following this assumption, should he re-send the complete application package to CIC with updated payment information form with different card details or just the updated form?

That depends on the Local VO. Which VO are you asking about?

If you are asking for Singapore VO then even 2013 applicants are waiting for MR :'( :'(

LOL, Unfortunately its SGVO :( Hope they process the 1st may applicant fast.

Generally credit card sms are received from a specific short code (number); if he got the sms from that short code, it would be concern else it is fake - ask him to check the originating number that send SMS.

Also, CIO, from previous experiences, try one/two days later again.

Since it has not been delivered yet so why don't you call your courier company and ask them to return the package. They will charge nominal return charges.. That's all..

Regards,
Amar

thank u so much brother...really appretiate ur advice...trying to do the same

Hey, the short code from which he recieved the SMSs is: AM-ATMSBI; on researching on the internet this is looks to be a fake code. Also all previous SMSs that he recieved from SBI were not from this short code.

Thank you friend.
We are NOC 1112.

2 more questions:
1. Is there CIO officer on every NOC who is checking the applications?
2. Our case received on 10:17 7th MAY by MIKE, It's take more time to charge DD than CC ?

+1 for you
