Dear Mates,

few queries for those who have applied, im just gettting my documents done. my previous work reference letters would be ready in a weeks time hopefully and planning to post application in couple of weeks time

pls advise on below :

1. Birth certificate shows name as "BABY" and has parents name as in my passport and CBSE school certificate. Do i need an affidavit for a letter again for this. I am submitting my CBSE school 10th certificate too which mentions DOB.

2. if Thomas Cook gives a DD in Canadian dollars or infact any other bank in India which gives a 6 months DD in CAD value.

3. My present employer had changed my department, so do i need 2 reference letter from same firm showing duties and tenure.

4. In present employers reference letter, HR would be signing the letter, if its fine to submit my supervisors business card for Visa officers query if any at a later stage along with the H.R signed letter.

5. Can anyone share a format for affidavit for non-submission of PCC from India ( for later submission ), or procedure for obtaining it.

my post graduate awarding institute is recognized by national technical education regulatory body AICTE, there are no state boards involved or universities.

I'm pretty confident nobody goes to AICTE for their marks sheets attestation coz they do not award any degrees or evaluate scores. I'm hoping somebody on this forum will please confirm if they got their PG diploma attested by their college registrar because exams are conducted and evaluated by college itself.

I too had a pg diploma and got my docs attested by comptroller of examination and WES accepted my degrees.

Hello all

CIC is moving so slow, that to get this thing off my mind, I have had to forcibly remove myself from any talk of it (unfortunately, including participation in this forum). At the rate they're going, they probably won't even get to mine until August (), and mine is just May 21, so I can hardly imagine those who sent in much later than that. I may pop in from time to time, but I don't think it's gonna be as often as before. The anticipation is just becoming too much to bear, need to purge all these reminders.

Yes either of them can do it . I got it from COE since they are easily available . registrar can also do it for you.
Mine too was conducted by college and an AICTE approved course.

Donot worry!!. u gotta hurry up n visit your college and get it done ASAP.

I belong to the same NOC as yours and my application was received on 16th May, i also expect to hear about my application not before end of August or First half of September, Patience is the key but honestly it is becoming excruciatingly painful.

Hello Everyone,

Random question:

I have filed for Canadian PR and submitted payment via DD. The DD was issued after paying cash to TD Bank in Canada and the amount was not deducted from any bank account.

I was wondering if there is anyway I will ever know of the progress on my application? The guys who give credit card information obviously can notice it in their statements but does CIC generally bother until the application has been fully processed (assuming the application or payment was not rejected for some reason)?

Did you even read the link that you posted. The link says that many americans are ignorant about Canada day, which falls on July 1st. Canada does not celebrate July 4th (that's USA's independence day). Canada celebrates July 1st, it's own day.

My DD will b expired on 24 july..i m 8 th may applicant ..once if validity is over before they pickup my file ..will my application return.any other option ..pls suggest...

U were supposed to give a six month validity DD.....


Now just pray that ur DD get encashed between this period...Otherwise ur file may returned (I wish it will not..).

I hope it will be encashed with the given time...with the current trend it should be done ....

Hi, if your bank offers a DD tracking service, they can tell you when your DD is encashed. Just ask them about this. CIC will send you a PER by email if your application is accepted at this stage. So worry not, just monitor your emails. Cheers
