Timelines for FBI report request for USA PCC purposes (for guidelines purpose only):
Request reached at FBI - May 19th
CC Charged - June 6th
Report dispatched - June 20th or 23rd
One copy delivered at New Delhi - June 24th (so likely dispatched on 20th)
Another copy delivered in India - June 27th

Note: At this time FBI site shows 28 calendar days required to process request (and I believe it said 25 calendar days when I put request)

Thanks buddy! +1 for you!

USA FBI Report for PCC purposes - postal issues / delays

If you haven't received your report yet wait for another week or two, since you have enough time on your hands right now. CIC hasn't given you a date yet by which to submit this, I am guessing.

After the 2 week waiting if you don't receive the report, you need to call FBI again. Without charging additional fee they will ONLY one more time again send a fresh report and ask you which address you want the report at. This time, to eliminate any delivery risks, give a US address of a friend / acquaintance to get it delivered in USA itself (speak very clearly on the phone so the CS records the address correctly and may be ask to repeat what he / she noted; not sure if you can ask CS to send the 'new US address' by e-mail). It comes via ordinary post / first class post so there is a slight chance of not getting it delivered in India for example. And then ask your friend / acquaintance to courier it to your current address. This is the best option!!! Enjoy!!! :)

This has been a slow week. Seems like my app package received by Mike, on may 9th, will take "forever" to get looked at LoL

Another week or so of patience, or whatever is left of it.

Atleast you are somewhat close, think of us whose application was received on 16th May, i assume a safe expected date for my application would probably be first half of September.

UPS beats DHL hands down for delivery in that area. I hear UPS is great for North American continent deliveries. Definitely is far better when sent from Indian subcontinent, as has been shared often.

For CIC specific deliveries by DHL it is also a matter of what time one has sent the package. DHL was delivering in flat 4 days from India in early May, and was promptly showing status on it's site back then. Not so much anymore as I often hear in the forum these days.

My recommendation in the order of preference from India to CIC is as below:
1- UPS
2- FedEx
3- DHL

Use DHL if you don't have a hot NOC
(just my take; excel ss must have more detailed analysis, I haven't checked that)

dude i dn't knw abt NS..but DHL just delivered my package in Florida US in 2 days flat....CHD to Florida

UPS is the best from India, my packet was deliverd in 3 days. Fedex is about five, six Days and DHL is nonsense.

Nothing beats UPS for delivery to NS.

For WES no difference between fedex and UPS.

Please..may be for NS.. UPS and FEDEX are good.
I use DHL regularly for sending my packages in US..max it takes is 4 days....just today my package was delivered by DHL to US in 2 days

Hi guys,

I have received PCC from Consulate General of India in USA on consulate letter pad, signed and stamped. Would this format/content be sufficient as per CIC requirements? Is “grant of travel facilities including visa for Canada” as mentioned in that last line ok?

Certified that there is no adverse information in respect of __NAME___, holder of passport __Passport No._ issued at __City Name__ on Issue Date_ for the period he/she stayed in India, which will render him/her ineligible for the grant of travel facilities including visa for Canada

Please advice. Thanks.

Thanks for sharing your experience and it seems right. But if one were to look at the courier business then there are factors like connective to easily reachable destinations versus to far-off places. NS is more like a day by road journey (read, in one corner of Canada) while sunny Florida is very well connected, so no comparison at all with Sydney, NS is my take.

One of the replies to my post is explaining these 3 courier businesses in further detail. Like that post!

Note: I made 4 deliveries to NS in the last 3 years, out of which 2 are in the last 1.5 to 2 months :) so sharing my take.
