Hi guys, I am preparing to apply under NOC 1111. However, I am having a hard time obtaining a reference letter from my bosses in our firm.
HR gave me a general document listing the broad functions of my position and out of the 12 listed items, which includes my responsibilities to the firm, responsibilities to clients and responsibilities to develop our services, I think only 2 can be counted toward the NOC qualification.

Those two are as follows:

a. Obtains competent evidential matter to substantiate the fairness of client's financial statements; prepares schedules, summaries and reports based on findings; assists in office functions and on specials assignments.

b. Participates in audit engagements and other firm activities under the supervision of more experienced staff members.

I need your advice, do you think I can qualify under the NOC given the such fact?

My NOC has the following description:

Main duties

Financial auditors perform some or all of the following duties:
Examine and analyze journal and ledger entries, bank statements, inventories, expenditures, tax returns and other accounting and financial records, documents and systems of individuals, departments within organizations, businesses or other establishments to ensure financial recording accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards, procedures and internal controls
Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and make recommendations to improve individual or establishment's accounting and management practices
Conduct field audits of businesses to ensure compliance with provisions of the Income Tax Act, Canadian Business Corporations Act or other statutory requirements
May supervise other auditors or professionals in charge of accounting within client's establishment.

I think yes ,
Not all the job duties should match for you to apply under a particular NOC . Plus your job duties might not be point to point same as the Main duties you have listed. Some keywords should match .

Is there anyone whose application is received on May 6th and still got not cashed?
Now I am worried.

My application was sent on May 5th, NOC 2173. And it is received by Mike on May 6th on 11:25 a.m. Visa office is Hongkong.

My Envelope has some problem, it is as follows:
Centralized Intake Office
Federal Skilled Worker(FSW)
Street Address:
49 Dorchester Street
Sydney, NS B1P 5Z2

The required envelope is
Citizenship and Immigration Canada
Federal Skilled Worker
NOC Category 1
Primary NOC 2011 Code: XXXX
49 Dorchester Street
Sydney, NS
B1P 5Z2
Canada

However according to D.A. in Client Service Unit of Centralized Intake Office, not putting the NOC category on the envelope should not affect processing.

just inquired with bank about DD en cashed. its not yet cleared. my application reached CIC 7th May around 1 PM received by MIKE. Hope i had not done any mistake and my application is not rejected.

I think by next week, will get more clear picture as all 7th May application are not yet cleared.

Hoping for the best..

Detail to be mentioned on the back of Bank Draft..??

What detail is required to be mentioned on the back of the Bank Draft (Applicant Name, Category etc..??)

Is there any specific requirement to sign with a Blue or Black pen in the application forms..??

If your application reaches on Saturday / Sunday (i.e Week off in Canada), would courier company
attempt delivery on working day..??

Will That be okay if I send originals of below documents (with out notary certified)
1) Work Experience Certificate & Work Reference Letter ;
2) Pay Slips with company stamps

Courier company delivers only on weekdays.

Pay Slips original is not required - send the photocopy only. For Work Experience Certificate and Work Reference Letter, if you have multiple original copy, then send the original else preserve the original and send photocopy.

Does CIC contact via email for any kind of clarification or any documents ?

Hi, if your application is found to be complete with correct documents included and received before cap is reached, CIO will send you PER notification by email and your file forwarded to your VO. If your application is deemed to be incomplete, if any document/form is found to be missing, if there any negative issues with your application, your whole application will be returned to you by regular post. You will not receive any email regarding this. Communications from your VO will usually be by email, on few occasions, they will call or effect physical visitation.

All the best with your application :)

I also believe, for this reason, your file will not be rejected.

Please help! Bit complex!

I have applied to FSW in the month of MAY/JUNE.

there are 2 applicants in my file, me & my wife.

My wife's passport carries her maiden name before marriage, and we did not change her name as just after marriage we applied for Quebec visa as well. And now for FSW.

So there was no time for us to change the name of my wife as even the passport with new changed name takes minimum 1 month and we were in hurry.

Now my question is, now i have the time.

1) How I can change the name of my wife in her application? Because i want my wife should carry the PR card with her changed name after marriage.

2) As my application is under processing, for changing the name, now can i make the changes in her passport for change in name?

Experts please help!!!

As mentioned by Centuary your application shouldn't be rejected because of this but you can expect some delay because of this.

all 7th may applicants have been charged or is the CC charging for 7th may not done yet?

Pls go through the spreadsheet for statistics: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11gAbKSoDoOr1s8_raB1qwz0i-ZH0NyNWhhn18O6kHwQ/edit#gid=752719781 .

So far 28 CC have been charged and no DD charge been reported.

Hi, can anyone tell me why I'm not able to see entries past 100 in the spreadsheet?

Hey guys, Have been a silent spectator of this forum till now. Now that I have something to report, i'm posting here. I sent my application NOC 0013 on Saturday, 14th June, through Fedex, expected arrival date is Saturday, 23rd June. Have applied through a consultant. Am a second time applicant, applied first in 2010, application was returned stating the reason "job duties mismatch'. However, later found out that in 2010 officially CIC wasn't allowed to declare 'Cap filled' so most of the applicants whose applications were returned got the reason as 'JD mismatch. Don't know how true or otherwise that is. However, i received the application packet back after 2 years!!! in 2012, and teh sealed documents were still sealed, meaning they had not even opened it, so there was no UCI generated.

Anyhow, luckily was among the early birds this year who got their WES and IELTS done in May, however, the current job (under which NOC is applicable) completed one year on 13th June. Thus waited till 13th June to fulfill that requirement and sent on the 14th. PCC, birth certificates, letters on company letterhead, wife's IELTS included, points for relative (sibling) etc. Tried to get all the requirements. Self calculated points = 73. Rest is obviously in God's hands.

Your forum has made me keep a close eye on my consultants progress :) So thank you for that.
