Excellent first post confidant.

Gave you a +1

In the initial assessment stage (stage A) on your workflow chart, there is this sentence: 120 days BF'd (it's in the lower box after the met stage).

Do you know what that sentence means?

Good question randev.

The officer at CIC will screen your documents w.r.t the Ministerial Instructions (MIs). Even if the applicant satisfying the required points (i.e 67 points) the officer may insist the officer at your local visa office to cross check some of the documents with which the applicant claiming points. It can be those related to employment, criminal backgrounds (PCC), relationship status, adaptability points etc. Your local visa officer also has the sole power to find and ask for the supporting documents at the time of Eligibility assessment without the instruction from CIC. All the supporting documents are requested only from the visa office.

Now coming to BF'd. Its stands for Bring Forward Date. The visa officer makes our file to transfer from one BF'd to the next for processing. For example, at the time when visa officer check your file and ask for additional documents he will earmark BF'd (i.e in simple words the next checking date) to check the additional documents you sent to the VO. Usually the VOs keep 120 days BF's for checking the supporting documents we sent. The sentence "Letter send to applicant requesting complete doc; 120 days BF's" stands for that.

Hope this clear your doubt.

No , I don't think it requires any translation. I submitted only photocopy of the original NID and it worked well for me .

ONE MORE QUERY

For BD NID what should i provide as expiry date?

There is no expiry date mention in the NID.

regards

Hi, everyone.
I am a FSW applicant from China and the visa office for me could be Beijing or Hongkong.
But I didn't fill in IMM 0008 table "4 Immigration Office requested for processing this application". And I want my application to be processed by Hongkong visa office.
What should I do? Thanks.

I had the same question when I sent my package. Well, the CIC, as far as I remember, does not ask for credentials to be sent, as long as you include WES report. So technically speaking you are fine. But then most people, including me, have send their education credential. These are very basic documents, and something readily available.

If you haven't send it, dont worry too much. I would ask other senior boarders to also shed some light on your case. I feel, application sent on 14 may are atleast 2 weeks away from being picked up for review. So, If CIC had a way by which you can add missing documents to your application sent earlier, by all means - you should send them their way.

Senior Boarder - Is there a way we can add documents to our application afterwards, and before CIC picks our application for completeness review?

Hi,

In Additional Family information form -

When I am filling out the form as principal applicant in Sec A - do i only need to mention the address and email for myself? or form my parents and wife as well ( Although its the same). Problem being that the email id section is only there in front of the spouse section?

Also, further on it asks for email id of your kids, but not your siblings!!

Kindly suggest the correct way

Hi,

As you have said email address is only mentioned on the spouse row.

If you don't have a spouse write not applicable.

No one else needs to provide email id on this form.

Thanks

As has been discussed many times in this forum already, your application will be rejected and returned if they don't find your degree certificates at the time they review your application.

And, it has also been discussed that noone knows whether CIC matches your original application with an additional document sent separately. In fact, just a few posts above somebody has mentioned that a case like yours got rejected inspite of sending the documents later on. If you already have a UCI number, then you might have a chance otherwise you are in a pretty bad spot here.

Hi Guys,

The visa office in native country...for eg. for Indian applicants the visa office is New Delhi VO...is that a India office...or some thing under Canadian embassy office.....??

According to document checklist, proofs of educational credentials like degree and transcript copies are also required, in addition to ECA report.

Someone with first hand experience may tell how to send and get them attached with the application at a later stage.

Hi,

If you have sent your application already at this stage there is nothing you can do.

If my memory serves me correct, some one posted he did not mention his visa office on the form and he received PER mail.

So relax

Thanks

This is very wrong. The checklist clearly says that education certificates are NECESSARY. Also, we have already seen a few rejections due to this issue.

Hi,

It is a Visa office located in India, administered and operated by the Government of Canada.

Thanks.
