No one can say what exactly they do, and I am sure what they do varies from case to case. Generally speaking though if your's is a big company, let's say like Intel, and your prior experience/ education seems in line with the reference letter on Intel's company letter head they might not need to verify. On the other hand if your's is a tiny company that no one other than a handful people know about, and / or your experience doesn't seem in line with your profile otherwise, it can be a flag for verification (right away or at a later stage). That's how I look at it! :) Good luck, mate!

If the reference letters on the company letterhead contains all the info like..website, fax, telephone numbers, details of supervisor who signed that reference letter..still CIC do the verification or not. Any idea friends ?

I don't understand, are you applying under PhD or arranged job category? If you are simply applying under one of the 50 NOC, based on points, then here's the courier address to which the application needs to be mailed.

Complete address (label on the envelope) would be (make sure to change XXXX to your NOC code)

Citizenship and Immigration Canada
Federal Skilled Worker
NOC Category
Primary NOC 2011 Code: XXXX
49 Dorchester Street

Will they do verification in both the companies or will go for current company as i have majority of work experience in my present company

No body knows what they will do, but they might most likely focus on the job that is relevant to the NOC you have applied for. That seems pretty straight forward. In case both your experiences were relevant to the NOC ideally they should focus more on the company where you stated 23 months of experience but they can go to both firms, if they feel like it. No point worrying about that / speculating that. They sure won't do exactly as I say, haha. Enjoy! :)

Translation of documents

Any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by:

the English or French translation; and
an affidavit from the person who completed the translation; and
a certified copy of the original document.
Note: An affidavit is a document on which the translator has sworn, in the presence of a commissioner authorized to administer oaths in the country in which the translator is living, that the contents of their translation are a true translation and representation of the contents of the original document. Translators who are certified members in good standing of one of the provincial or territorial organizations of translators and interpreters of Canada do not need to supply an affidavit.

Important information. Translations by family members are not acceptable.

Certified true copies

To have a photocopy of a document certified, an authorized person must compare the original document to the photocopy and must print the following on the photocopy:

“I certify that this is a true copy of the original document”,
the name of the original document,
the date of the certification,
his or her name,
his or her official position or title, and
his or her signature.
Who can certify copies?

Persons authorized to certify copies include the following:

In Canada:

a commissioner of oaths (authority to certify varies by province and territory)
a notary public
a justice of the peace
Outside Canada:

a judge
a magistrate
a notary public
an officer of a court of justice
a commissioner authorized to administer oaths in the country in which the person is living
Family members may not certify copies of your documents.

Hey guys,
Let's get something right, returned application due to filled cap isn't the same as visa denial to me. My belief is that the question about whether u hv been Canadian visa before is not referring to returned application due to filled cap. But if u get to the point of visa interview and they turn u down, then u have been denied visa. Or if you had applied for Canadian visa separately, aside FSW application, and u get turned down, then that statement about denial applies.
These are my views anyway and how I viewed the question on the application form.

In your case, medical council would be a better option

Hello all,
This thread is so busy! So good luck to me if this query gets noticed... :)

I just please need an opinion about proof of funds / settlement funds.

I read from one of the posts here that the amount declared in your balance certificate upon submission to CIC should be maintained. I need to ask, what if the money (while waiting) had been significantly reduced because of emergency expenses? When VO finally requests for your proof of settlement funds (assuming I received a PER) and I was for some reason able to borrow some money and show the same amount at this time, will there be doubts from the VO office that this money had been borrowed? What is the impact of this in the VO procesing?

Kindly let me know roughly how long do you process papers with the VO after PER (i know this depends on the VO) but estimate please? and when is the time for you to provide the proof of settlement funds?

Thanks in advance.
