Hi Guys.. I am new at this forum.. even i am not sure if I am asking my question at right place ??

I have sent my FSW file via DHL to Novascotia on 16th June..I am asking this question on 20th June (My DHL is not yet delievered to NS visa office)

I was going through the cic.gc.ca website to check the updates and just noticed that they have introduced a new Generic Application form to canada (IMM0008) the ref month and year reads JULY 2014, while the bottom of the site suggests that they have last updated the site on 16th June 2014.

This is the date when I DHL my application form....

My specific question is that, now as they have introduced a new application form.. does that mean they will over rule all the earlier forms ??

what would be my case ?? at the bottom of all the forms I have submitted, I have signed and dated 15.06.2014 ( a day before I sent my file)

will they consider the date of my signing the form and accept my form or they would reject it ...as it is now out of date...

any comment would be grately appreciated.... if some one has a phone no of canada immigration where I can call and find out... would also be a help to me...

I personally believe it doesn't affect people who have already applied. As long as the date of signing on the form predates the date they uploaded the form, it should be alright.

if my settlement funds are simply money in my account, do i need to maintain the account above the requirement from date of application until it is rechecked by VO? what happens if the money in account goes below the requirement for a short time in between?

I personally believe it doesn't affect people who have already applied. As long as the date of signing on the form predates the date they uploaded the form, it should be alright.

I am going to start the application shortly. I am in the Financial services sector. Can someone guide me on the steps I should take to submit my application in time? Also, should I employ the services of a law firm or is it advisable to apply on your own?

if you have no idea about this then ...better hire a consultant who can help you in timely manner..time is running caps could be filling..you cant afford to waste time to figure how to do it yourself..hire a consultant right away ! :-X

I m a May 6th Application (Application was received on 6th May) But my CC hasn't been charged. It has started to worry me because i can see CC charge status for People from Late May as well. My NOC is 2173. Is there a way i can check back on my app status or i just need to sit tight and hope sooner or later they'll charge?

I just want to ask one more thing I have seen that Generic Form is updated for July 2014 and the previous one was March 2014 I have filed the same and send the file but it has not reached CIO yet do I need to fill the form again or the old one will be fine. I have checked the form the only difference is the bar code is not available is new form as instead of 8 pages its now 5 pages and no other changes been done. Please suggest..

You don't need to call it back.......you will be fine till next wknd.
If you think it will make you feel better by calling it back.....and its possible,feel free to do it for your mind to be at rest.
