hi Guys, please read this news:
"In preparation for the launch of the new immigration system, the government began accepting 25,000 applications under the federal skilled worker program on May 1, 2014..."

http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/skilled-immigrants-recruited-in-50-occupations-ahead-of-express-entry-launch-1.2673822

Good to see the CBC is only about 2 months behind. :P

hi friends, need an answer,
the more you read forum queries, the more you sink in doubts....

I am NOC 4011 applicant, y application reached 28th may 2014.

I havent submitted my husband's birth certificate as it was lost and i couldnt wait to apply....his domicile certificate, CNIC copy, Passport all have been attached.
and my two son's birth certs are also in Urdu( non-english) but their another form called Form -B has same information as birth cert. in english.

DO u think my APPLICATION WILL BE REJECTED DUE TO THAT?
EXXPERT COMMENTS NEEDED.

I want you to consider that in the FSWP spreadsheet from las year, failing to submit the Birth Certificate from the husband/wife was a reason for rejection.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0Aovj20uHVWyzdGFqSGJUOEtVX0h5eWM0cXB5dlAtOEE&gid=20

Moreover, The DOCUMENT CHECKLIST, item 16 states:

Identity and Civil Status Documents
You must provide the following documents for you and your spouse or common-law partner

• Birth certificates;...

It is also important to stop telling the other member that failing to follow the rules would be ok. Because it probably won't.

i agree with your first statement.....too much information here but mostly important ones. :)
in my opinion,
it should not be rejected. they might ask you to submit if they need.
but its better to keep translated one with public notarized ready.

I really want everyone to be aware that failing to follow the direction from CIC is a reason to be rejected. Sorry to be very honest but this is our future, we need to take it seriously

try to check again the status online.mine, status was departed ontario on june12 and was only delivered yesterday, june 16.

admin, kindly update my status - docs was received june 16, 12:55pm signed by Mike.

Thanks.

When WES receives the documents, they first check if you've submitted in the way they have specified for various countries or not.. during this time, they mention your status as "Document received. Review in progress"..

Once they are satisfied with your method of sending the documents, they forward it to the reviewer and your status would turn to "Evaluation in Progress".. You would have also received an e-mail that your documents are acceptable.

I submitted my application for ECA which reached them on 9th June. Today, the application has moved to "Evaluation in Progress". Till now, it was in "Document received. Review in progress" status.

What does the new status mean and any idea on how much time it will take now to get the ECA report?

If i submit FSWP Application by 15th Aug 2014, for 2171 - Information Analysts.
When is it expected for the CAP of 1000 Applications to reach for 2171. 2172, 2173 & 2174 respectively.
As per CIC, they have just received < 100 Applications for each Category.

Thanks

Very true. "Couldn't wait to apply" should have been "I waited to get my husband's replacement birth certificate." :o :o

Apply quickly. CIC's web site is always out of date, and only represents applications they have checked and found to be complete, not all those they have received. Nobody knows when the cap will be filled but those are among the hotter NOCs.

Can you share the dates when WES received documents, when they started review and what date they projected..?

I got an ECA report for my wife. She has done a 1 year diploma in HR after her bachelors in arts of 3 years.
The report says the following:

canadian equivalency summary: bachelors 3 years

Credential 1: bachelors Degree (3 years)

Credential 2: completion of a second undergraduate major

So do we claim 21 or 22 points for education?

I READ IN SOME FORUM THAT THOSE BORN BEFORE 1989 CAN BE EXEMPTED FROM BIRTH CERT. SUBMISSION...IS IT TRUE?

Do nurses have to get a special credential assessment like doctors do? or can they use WES like I did. Asking for a friend who currently works as a nurse. Also do they have to pass the Canadian nursing exam before they apply or can they do this after they land
