One thing to note though. 2013 Spreadsheet shows that cap for 2132 was updated as filled, on 12th Nov 2013. But it was actually filled even before October, because you were rejected (having applied in October).

Question is how early was it actually filled ? September ? August ?

I can not apply before 1st August 2014. In that case, do I stand a chance, or shall I just drop the idea to begin with. Already paid for ECA and IELTS though.

I agree, Canada is opening a broader opportunities for 50 occupations prioritized by the government. So if you are interested, act now, assess, prepare, review and submit application as soon as you can.
There is no harm in trying all of us has an equal chance in migrating to Canada.

Yes, I am counting on the increased cap. If you have an estimate of the time near about when this NOC will be filled, do share. The 2014 spreadsheet says about 22nd September. I hope it has taken care of this increased cap.

I don't think that the cap will be reached until october, there are 1000 quotas for this NOC, if 1/3 of them were filled by september in 2013, and considering that the applications are sent in a logarithmic proportion, to fill all of them this year would take more than 3 times the time that was necessary to fill the cap last year. In other words, it probably will not fill the cap this year.

Hello friends

I have a query regarding mismatch of my " Place of Birth"
On my passport and Birth certificate.

I released that mistake very late:so instead of reapplying my passport again , I attached a cover letter explaining the mismatch in my CIC application and explained that I'll be rectifying that error.

Now the problem is that when I'll apply for reissue of passport to change the place of birth : my passport number will change as they will reissue a new passport.

So I was worried when I should reapply for passport . shall I wait for VO to contact me regarding that? I am bit reluctant to apply for new passport as this may confuse VO as new passport number will be there and when VO will try to do any verification with old passport number it will come as cancelled .

Seniors please help ..shall I apply for passport now...kollins , ashif , century any views on this ..

If your application plus fees were returned to you due the cap being filled , would you answer to try is question 'been refused refugee status, an immigrant or permanent resident visa or application to the Provincial Nominee Program or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country'.

You would answer no, because technically your application wasn't even in consideration. It's not a rejection but rather "you never even applied" situation.
