Notes to the applicant

TAKE THIS WITH YOU TO THE PHOTOGRAPHER

Immigration photographs are not the same as passport photographs.
Make sure that you provide the correct number of photographs specified in the Checklist.

Notes to the photographer

The photos must:

show a full front view of the person’s head and shoulders showing full face centred in the middle of the photograph;
have a plain white background;
be identical (black and white or colour) produced from the same untouched negative, or exposed simultaneously by a split‑image or multi‑lens camera;

The photos must:

measure between 25 mm and 30 mm (1”and 1 3/8”) from chin to crown;
have a 35 mm x 45 mm (1 3/8” x 1 ¾”) finished size.

Is there any recent change in the photo specification?

Can anybody please share the recent photo requirements for canada FSW application?

I think date is not much important as long as the letter contains the specified details and meets the format requirement specified in the document check list..

Question about Work Experience

Although it is getting harder to get responses for trivial questions in the midst of elevated fervor about CC/DD charge, but let me try still.

Is an experience certificate that I received from my employer when I left a previous job enough (provided it mentions the duties), or a fresh one (in current dates) is needed ?

Regarding the photo specification, they have mentioned that the photo needs to be no older than 6 months..

I have photographs meeting the specification but taken approx 10 months back.. will it serve the purpose or not..

On a lighter note, i still look like the same animal i was 10 months back.. but i am at a remote location and getting a studio which can understand the specification looks difficult.. so i try to avoid that.

The letter contains just about everything except the 'number of hours per week'. I guess I may have to request a new one with this information. Although the old one, written at the time of leaving the workplace will always look more authentic as compared to a freshly minted one.

They must work, I mean how can they notice the 4 moth difference?

I have already sent my file and there is one problem Mother name is wrong on my BC and Passport due to careless mistake by the birth registration department. I tried to correct this but they told me the records of year 1978 were destroyed due to rain.It is not an easy thing to update such details. Please guide me what I can do for the same?

Explain to LVO. I've not seen a case where a rejection was done due to the situation you are facing. I could be wrong though.

What if I forgot to include my email address in IMM 0008 but the email address was included in other CIC form and my cover letter? Will CIO still mail the PER or NER?

Ya they can issue only thing is they will send letter at your home it will take longer.. But you do not have to do anything after issuing of PER so no worries.. Once you get UIC please udate your email address..

Hi,

Doesn't look like a critical error. CIC will have to be very persnickety to reject something based on this.

Rest, anyone with actual experience may tell better.

Question about the Birth Certificate

1. The FSW Guide doesn't talk much about the birth certificate, so if you have a CIC weblink(s) talking about it in detail, please let me know.

2. From what I have read on this forum, Xth certificate bearing DoB and father's name shall suffice, is it ? Simple copy, or notarized ?

3. For a Xth certificate in some other language, what all needs to be done ? Translation ? From whom ? Notarized ? Affidavit ?

4. Does the above cover everything about BC, or there is more that needs to be done ?

This should be sufficient.. Get it notarized and also submit a copy. For people who dont have a xth certificate or birth certificate, they can even just submit a Affidavit...

According to the instructions. ..u need to write the date u clicked the photos....so don't forget to mention appropriate date.

Congratulations to All those who have their CC/DD Charged!!

It would be great if you guys could help others in the forum by letting us know if you submitted the reference letters on the Company letter head or a self affidavit or an affidavit from the immediate supervisor
