Just for the sake of discussion, why cant the DL be used as a National Identity Document?

Because it is NOT a National Identity Document, as simple as that brother!

Hi Guys,

I am an anxious May 7th 2174 applicant desperate to receive an SMS from my bank about the CC...
Looking at the spreadsheet, I´ve noticed that most of the charged applications were signed by Mike. Same happens with the applications that already received PER. Mine was signed by M. Krszwda.
Do you guys think that there is any relation between who received the app and the speed of the CC´s charges and PER?

That's right brother, I am like the Dutchmen right now...I will whack the hell out of the opponent LOL! (just kidding, mate!)

Essentially a National Identity Document cannot change ever. Let me take a stab at sharing an example on this topic. Let's say someone lost his / her DL before he/ she even made a copy of it; at this point they have a right to get a new license made (don't have to, but they can). But same won't be true for a National Identity Document. So let's say 2 years down the line someone applies for Canada Immigration he / she should not be quoting another "NID" at that time, which can be the case with a DL, if you got what I am saying. Hi Guys

I'm having a BSc ( Mathematics ) degree and planning to apply under 0113 ( Purchasing Managers ) as Procurement Manager.

As per one of the consultant, I seems to be not qualified to apply under 0113 as it requires a degree in any of A bachelor's degree or college diploma in business administration, commerce or economics.

Experts, pls advise on this

Your degree is irrelevant as long as you have the required experience.

FSWP 2013 => Program started - 04 May, 2013, My App submitted - 26 June, 2013, Missed the caps by a big margin. Disappointed like hell.
FSWP 2014 => This time i am ready. Be smart but not over-smart. Wait till 01 May, maybe the forms get changed for 2014. Also, change the NOC from 2174 to 2173. Most would apply with the same old forms and NOC. But NOC 2173 is new. Quota would be open for late.
01 May, 2014 - Program started
01 May, 2014 - App completed. But could not post (Sunday!)
02 May, 2014 - Prepared to post the app. But instant plan made for a 1000 km bike trip to Ooty at 5 am in morning. Courierd app from Mysore (takes 5 days, app goes to Bangalore first) on way, instead of Bangalore
02 May, 2014 - App posted to CIC.
07 May, 2014, 01:57 p.m. - App delivered to CIC, received by Mike.
20 May, 2014 - The black news comes. The bank(ICICI) replaced all the Credit cards due to some RBI guidelines. The card whose information was given on form will now be cancelled by 20 June, 2014 (30 days). Card Cancelled = Payment rejected = another year wasted (more importantly the last FSWP).

I joined this forum last year just with an intention to ask a couple of doubts. I know most of the stuff and hence I do not visit this forum often. But all this time, it has been overwhelming to see the support.

I still have a question though. Do they evaluate at an upper level before charging the money or it is done after the processing only ?

Yes, you can definitely show your husband liquid fund as settlement fund. His balance certificate will be required; covering letter is optional but will be helpful for the officer.

Hello Everyone,

I know this is a silly question, but when i was filling out form IMM-0008 for the generic application for Canada, there is a section where I am asked for a national identity document. I plan to use my driver's license for this section.

The issue I am facing here - My National Identity document number has special characters such as "-" & "/" which the PDF is not allowing to be typed into the alloted field. So I cannot validate the form until I have the national identity document number in the 'correct' format.

My proposed solution - I thought I should declare in the type that I do not have a national identity document. Once I enter "No" in that field, I can validate and print form IMM-0008. Then after I print it, I can overwrite manually my national identity document number with a black pen.

My source of worry - Would this be an issue as I would do a small amount of manual overwrite on the form? It is a really small typo and I don't think it should be an issue but I just want to confirm with a few people.

Of course I would be enclosing a photocopy of the national identity document so technically I am correct to write the document number in the right format. FYI - The identity is my driver's license.

Which country's driver's license are you using? If USA, I wouldn't consider that a NID.

My solution for something like that is to leave non-alphanumerics out and attach an annexure explaining that the form would not allow me to fill in the ID number properly, and give the actual ID number in the annexure.

Thank you..the NOC is 2133..I donno how I forgot to keep the covering lettter...Her sslc cerifictes are also notarized..but wen we go through the remarks of returned appliaction wife's bc was a major issue the CIC is concerned..

Could you please mention the exact remarks on the returned appln?
