For the benefit of the may5 received applicants and succeeding days the cic is slowly moving now.
I received PER 9:08 am ns canada time june 13, 2014. 8:08pm philippine time.

My app was received 5 may 1:18 pm. Noc 1111

My dd was encashed may 29. That makes timeline 24 days from receipt.
PER receipt is 15 days from encashment. Timeline includes weekends.

Additional info:
I stapled forms per form title and some docs but not everything and did not staple to bind it all together.
I used long envelope.
I didnt include bar codes bec it didnt appear after validation. Validated? Yes, it is indicated in the form validated.

Anyone sent their package through DHL? If you did, where you able to track it until it reached CIC? Im reading on the forums that dhl doe not directly deliver to Sydney.
Any one with a similar experience,please advise

My Total family count is 3. So we have to Maintain $18,097

Currently we have 6 lakhs (INR) Indian RS in Indian bank account and 8000 CAD in my husband account (That is in Canada bank account).

Since I am primary applicant, Can I use show my husband bank statement who is dependent in this application with any covering letter?

FSWP 2013 => Program started - 04 May, 2013, My App submitted - 26 June, 2013, Missed the caps by a big margin. Disappointed like hell.
FSWP 2014 => This time i am ready. Be smart but not over-smart. Wait till 01 May, maybe the forms get changed for 2014. Also, change the NOC from 2174 to 2173. Most would apply with the same old forms and NOC. But NOC 2173 is new. Quota would be open for late.
01 May, 2014 - Program started
01 May, 2014 - App completed. But could not post (Sunday!)
02 May, 2014 - Prepared to post the app. But instant plan made for a 1000 km bike trip to Ooty at 5 am in morning. Courierd app from Mysore (takes 5 days, app goes to Bangalore first) on way, instead of Bangalore
02 May, 2014 - App posted to CIC.
07 May, 2014, 01:57 p.m. - App delivered to CIC, received by Mike.
20 May, 2014 - The black news comes. The bank(ICICI) replaced all the Credit cards due to some RBI guidelines. The card whose information was given on form will now be cancelled by 20 June, 2014 (30 days). Card Cancelled = Payment rejected = another year wasted (more importantly the last FSWP).

I joined this forum last year just with an intention to ask a couple of doubts. I know most of the stuff and hence I do not visit this forum often. But all this time, it has been overwhelming to see the support.

I still have a question though. Do they evaluate at an upper level before charging the money or it is done after the processing only ?

oh god...We jst sent the file two days bak..but did a big mistake...my wife was not having a birth certificate ..but we just kept one self affidavit that her actual date of birth is so n so....notarized..and also submitted her sslc cerificate with both fathers n mothers name but both in abbrevated forrm ...ie kalayil kuruvilla francis in application form n Passport ...but K.k francis in sslc......But the important thing s that we FORGOT TO KEEP THE COVERING LETTER....whether we have ny hope? or need to file one more...very much worried..

Hello Everyone,

I know this is a silly question, but when i was filling out form IMM-0008 for the generic application for Canada, there is a section where I am asked for a national identity document. I plan to use my driver's license for this section.

The issue I am facing here - My National Identity document number has special characters such as "-" & "/" which the PDF is not allowing to be typed into the alloted field. So I cannot validate the form until I have the national identity document number in the 'correct' format.

My proposed solution - I thought I should declare in the type that I do not have a national identity document. Once I enter "No" in that field, I can validate and print form IMM-0008. Then after I print it, I can overwrite manually my national identity document number with a black pen.

My source of worry - Would this be an issue as I would do a small amount of manual overwrite on the form? It is a really small typo and I don't think it should be an issue but I just want to confirm with a few people.

Of course I would be enclosing a photocopy of the national identity document so technically I am correct to write the document number in the right format. FYI - The identity is my driver's license.

OK. Do right in this way: start from year field:
2 press space 0 press space 1 press space 4 press space press space 0 press space press space 6.

I think you just need to relax and wait for the outcome of your application.Dont send another application. The moment it went from your hands,Its already out of your control. If its not hot NOC, you may have the chance to reapply once its returned. But who knows, maybe your documents are sufficient. Just keep yourself calm and hope for the best.

Dear Brother,

Since special characters are not allowed on the PDF then u can proceed with the manual writing...(although generic form is a Barcoded page...)
