For your peace of mind, following is the communication by CIC to an applicants:

"Alternatives to birth certificate are as follows in CIC's own words

We do accept Secondary school records that contain the following :

Applicant's Name
Date of Birth
Name of Parent/Parents

If you are not able to provide a Birth certificate with all 3 criteria, we require an affidavit stating all of this information or that a Birth certificate cannot be attained."

Affidavit has to be from Self or from Parents?

Select 7c NO and 8 NO. Best of luck.

Thanks for your reply.
In the same form I noticed in Work Experience Question, I am not able to fill the Occupation / my designation completely in that box provided.

Is there a Work around ???

For eg ; My designation is " System Engineer Analyst" . So, I am not able to mention this completely . What can be done ????

That's right. Ideally an affidavit by translator should be included as per instructions, however, it does not break the case if a translation alone is included. My sister in law also only sent a translated copy (not notorized) and that worked fine too. She is a PR holder now.

So Chillax bro.

Moreover, even if you send the doc now, most likely it will not find its way to your application sans the UCI.

Thanks mate for sharing this. Feeling much relieved now.
Cheers

Dear Century~ you are always such a big help.. Thanks millions..
May be bcz I am new here, don't see the option to give +1!!

I got some more query as i am organizing my papers-

1) When putting barcode pages at the starting of generic form, the sign up page, which is containing 2 barcode is going before the generic form. Is it the way you all do, signup page before the actual generic form?

2) Should I keep all the documents open (unbound) or is it better to use some clips instead of staple those?

3) in schedule 3 form - in some places I couldn't type (like for work experience I couldn't type month, in the asset, liability part, wanted to write nil with liability but can't type). So is it ok if I write these small thing using pen?

4) Now this one is bit silly :/ Which color ink I should use to sign the documents- black or blue?

1. Signed page then another bar coded page, and then the other pages starting from page 1.
2. Use some clips to bind other documents. Don't use any clips to bind forms. Try to use envelopes for putting photos.
3. Yes, you can write after printing. Use BLACK ink.

Do also last moment check: Most Frequent Errors
Ensure counting all the pages of form.
Ensure writing your full name at the last page of generic form.
Ensure selecting correct visa office
Ensure writing names in native languages
Ensure writing name, DoB, photo taken date at the back of photos
Ensure including self-addressed labels
Ensure while filling form IMM5406 by your spouse, s/he is applicant
Ensure Assets = Your property + settlement fund
Ensure providing original ECA, IELTS, and PCC
Ensure birth certificate contains your name, father's name, and your DoB

And you can rate me after you complete 25 posts.

Best of luck.

@deep2014

You may use Sys. Engineer Analyst or System ENG. Analyst. I would prefer later option as ENG. is universally accepted short-form of engineer not sure about Sys. for system

Secondly, most probably you are going to need additional page for explaining your duties & responsibilities answer it there in FULL as well.

@ future_canadian

Be cautious abt the # of ur visits, one of the impatient (around) 15th may applicant kept on asking and on 6th June frustrated teller informed him that the DD has been encashed 8)

Yes, I've only visited once, and it was clearly too early. I won't visit again until sometime next week. I don't want to become a bother. They are nice people at the bank.

Does it has anything on similar lines for Roles/Responsibilities?

Document checklist said "Self declared main duties or affidavit are not acceptable evidence of work experience". However, there is cases, where it has been accepted in past provided other documents are very strong.

Congrats to all, who got the CC / DD charged.

Hey future_canadian, Thanks a lot.

So, when you say that the duties should match. How do I prove that the duties are matching.
Can a roles and responsibilities letter from the company suffix?

Please help.

That is exactly what you need. Read the guide and the document checklist. Your employer reference letters are a crucial part of the application.

I have seen many a times experts are suggesting not to staple rather clip the docs. I have already stapled my file, anyone with a reference for this? Should I un-staple and clip or should I reprint all docs again?

HEY GUYS HELP ME OUT..

I AM STUCK AT THE VERY FIRST STEP ONLY ...

CONFUSED BETWEEN WHAT TO WRITE IN INSTITUTION TYPE IN WES APPLICATION FORM.

IF I WRITE STATE BOARD OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION OR HIGHER STUDIES.. WILL IT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE EVEN IF IT GOES WRONG

really?? 7+ months inside during winter?? or is this guy talking abt a particular city?

He must not be able to handle the cold weather.

It's simple, wear a jacket and boots.

I prefer cool weather to hot weather anyway.

While I really hope the best for the person who did not send the translation affidavit, It is clearly stated that is it required an official translation and the affidavit, I don't think it is a good idea to do self translations that can jeopardize your complete case.
