Hello I'm new here, :)

My application for FSW NOC 5125 was delivered at Nova Scotia, CA on June 4-th.

I don't have a chance to get before cup will be filled out....

Can somebody explain what it means - when CC or DD will be charged. That means they received it and they will review papers?

Thanks

Dear Members-

In my present company I have worked for 11 months and 15 days. If I file my application on the 16th day can I select '1 Year but less than 2' assuming the tenure would be 1 year by the time they start processing my application ?

Or should I wait for another 15 days to go by before submitting my application ?

It is not critical that my current Job be counted as 1 full year as my ex-job is 3 years and 19 days therefore I get a total of 4 years exp (3 Yr 19 days + 11 months 15 days) in the NOC and therefore 13 points.

Any suggestions ?

According CIC, one year is at least (1560 hours), full-time or an equal amount in part-time,

Hello Guys.

Could you please help me with this:

Job experience must be post-graduate? or interships before graduation counts?
what does continuous job experience means? 1 year uninterrupted? What if stopped working on June 6 to begin in a new company on june 17?

Hello, and welcome. CIC has not approved any application from your NOC yet (see here), so you might have a good chance. When your application is received, it is not opened, processed or handled in any way immediately. It gets in a queue ordered by receipt date, and sits there quietly while you wait in agony. When CIC gets to your application, they do a first completeness check, and then charge your CC/cash your DD. This is the first sign that your application is being processed. Currently, they are still processing applications received on May 6th. So relax and enjoy the ride ;-)

Couple of Questions:

1. I do not have job offer in Canada, Can I still apply under professor and lecturer (4011) category with my PhD and teaching experience from US.
2. What documents I need to send to WES
3. Do I need ECA report only for PhD or I have to get ECA reports for my master's and bachelor's degrees too.

Thanks

Please Guys ...

Could Someone tell me what is the estimate time taken from the day of Sending the documents until the Medical Request ?? I just want an average time .. even for last year FSW applications ..

This will make a huge difference in my decision about when to send my documents ... so does any one know how long does it take until the medical is requested ??

I'M STILL LOOKING FOR AN ANSWER

Mr Masry, I think you have to send your application as soon as possible so that you can beat the cap. If you take too long, your NOC might already be full by the time you apply, unless your NOC is traditionally low-key. As for a time estimate between application receipt and request for medical, it's impossible to say for sure, but I believe you could estimate around one year.

Thank You - awilner - for your response full of information :-))))))

If I have in my experience two qualifying NOC (5125 & 1111) should I submit two different applications?

CIC received my application which I filled out for NOC 5125, but in the work experience I put correct NOC for each of my jobs which were 5125 or 1111
Do you think that If for example cups would be full for 5125 but will be room in 1111, they can take my experience & references for 1111 (which were included in application) and use this NOC to accept application toward second cup. OR I made mistake by NOT submitting two separate applications.

Please advise...
Thanks

Thank you so much for your replay , and yes my NOC is 3215 which is always low key noc ( never reached the cap limit in the past years so hopefully it won't reach it any soon this year ) ..

I hope its around one year in estimate , some people told me it may take 6 months only to request the medical , I don't know if they were right ..

anyway, thanks again ..

Point taken.... well said by Partner :)

Let's treat it as a Contingent Liability, else I can be a victim of Misrepresentation too.... being counterpart ;)

Dear all

I am facing a serious problem with my work experience. I am a research student (leading to PhD), performing research in the areas of civil engineering. However, i am employed at the university, working full time (40 hours/week), and receive holidays/other benefits. My duties follow the specification provided by NOC for Civil Engineers. My question is, is my work experinece valid for FSW application? In the FAQ file it is stated that 'Your work experience must have been full-time (or the equivalent in part-time hours), worked continuously and paid, for over at least one year in the same occupation. Often, jobs as teaching, research or lab assistants at post-secondary institutions are part time, only for the academic year, not the full year and would not count toward the work experience requirement for this program.'
However, since I am employed full-time and receiving salary, will my work experience be valid? Please share your ideas/experiences

HI

I sent my B.Sc and M.Sc documents to WES for ECA. However, they provided assessment only for the M.Sc. I am wondering why did not they provide my B.Sc assessment. Is it enough to have the M.Sc assessment?

highest degree is enough
