To play safely.add a covering letter with the details and if possible,any news paper details..(hope its easy coz at least there will some mentioning of this renaming of an university)paper/online news supporting your claim that name of the university changed since your completion of education.or a url of university website if it mentions any whete that it has changed its name.hope this help.

I have a letter from university stating that it has changed its name from so on so.
This letter is in original, received from university, attested and signed by registrar.

But this is old letter, it was obtained in 2010.

Is it advisable to send this letter, will CIC accept if I send them a copy with "True copy" attested.
one of super expert in forum suggest, ECA report will suffice.

Please suggest.

I agree with my partner (u have to read previous posts for this!) on the same envelop request them to send u email abt DD encashment (just out of box thinking). Who knows it might work.

Thats an idea but i dont think they will listen to that
So i guess if the way i organized my package is right,then off it goes.
And the wait and worry will start

Dear rorita13-- When you are adding the barcode pages at the top, so the page with your sign in generic form is going before the full application right? I got two barcode pages. 2nd one is containing the sign up page with 2 barcode at the top of that page.

I put the signed barcode page after the full barcode page. Not sure it makes a difference. My bro did it like that and he went through the process without a glitch last year.

For the proof of work experience I am providing appointment letter, pay slip and reference letter.
In the checklist it's saying reference letter must include info regarding salary and work hour. My reference letter is containing all info other than these two- work hour and payment.
Do you think it's ok if I submit it.

Also in your opinion As a full time employee how many hours one should work each week??.. I am a full time employee, work 20 hours a week, Is it a standard time?

No harm in providing such letter. However no need for attestation, if its in english/french

I also need your opinion on a certain matter please. When I was flipping through the copies of the application forms and documents that I sent to CIO, I discovered that I had a typo on my mother-in-law's date of birth. In the Schedule 3 - I typed it as May 3, while in the additional family background form - it was May 13, which is the correct one. Do you think this will delay or affect my application? If you had an experience like this I would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks!

I think CIC first reviewed applications for 1-2 weeks without charging CC (may waiting for final approval to avoid later reimbursements) and then started charging. Now, they have gone back to that mode and they will again start charging in next week or later.

Was any such pattern observed in 2013?

There's a nice satellite tv service provider ad in India. It is about the provider giving some great services to customers, and the way they show the ad is by showing 'customers asked for it so we gave it. The intention of their punchline (not the exact words) translated in English is "you can only get if u ask" , so food for thought there LOL!

I think atleast 30 hrs a week is full time as per cic

Could Someone tell me what is the estimate time taken from the day of Sending the documents until the Medical Request ?? I just want an average time .. even for last year FSW applications ..

This will make a huge difference in my decision about when to send my documents ... so does any one know how long does it take until the medical is requested ??
