@ Sverma495

Its also a mystery, but page was updated on 6th May. No one knows for sure whts the riteria and date. If you are concluding it on the basis of "as of May 4, 2013" considering 2013 to be a typo......... this date is there for last 13 months :)

No where its stated, its more of an interpretation of general rule of "majority". Logically, hardly anyone's will match 100%, but obviously the higher the better.

I understand that main duties might not match 100%, but for say, NOC 2132 (Mechanical Engineers), all the 'Example Titles' are indicative of the NOC title. But in my case, relevant work experience comes from a job designated 'Project Assistant'. Doesn't that sound non-indicative of the NOC title ? Although the main duties are mostly that of a mechanical engineer.

If what you are saying is true, then it may be too late for NOC 2174. I know very little about the computer programmer field, but from what I've gathered on this forum there is substantial overlap between NOC 2174, 2173, and, if I remember correctly, 2171 job descriptions (I am deducing this from forum member queries asking others which NOC they should apply to because their job description fits more than 1 NOC). Mapleleafexpress, check to see if the job duties of your occupation fits the description of the other jobs that I mentioned above. If there is a substantial fit, abandon 2174 and apply to one of the other jobs eligible this year!

I have already sent application - received on may 12 (NOC - 2174). I intended to help anyone confused about which NOC to choose between 2173 and 2174.

I got free evaluation done from attorney cohen and response was that I am eligible for 2 NOC's (it did not mention which 2). I assume they were 2173 and 2174. So I applied for 2174 as my current title matches one of the sample titles for 2174.

disclaimer : I applied on my own without using the service of any attorney.

I am a little confused! If you had applied, as you claim, on the 12th of May, why did you ask CIC/CIO to whom you should address your application to so late?

YES. CIC needs to wake up from deep sleep.

I asked on may 8 morning expecting they may respond quickly. Since they did not respond quickly, I took a chance and used the information available on this forum to address the application and sent on may 8 evening.

Why I did not do it earlier - coz I always thought that checklist has the address, but right before posting, as I was cross verifying everything I came across this discrepency - checklist vs site (CIC vs CIO). I sent query but then decided it may be too long before they respond

I think CIC first reviewed applications for 1-2 weeks without charging CC (may waiting for final approval to avoid later reimbursements) and then started charging. Now, they have gone back to that mode and they will again start charging in next week or later.

Was any such pattern observed in 2013?

Fair enough I suppose. ..it should be all clear once CIC gives us another CAP update. ..

Dear Experts,

Does transcripts means only all semesters marksheets (it includes all subjects) and degree OR it should also have course content with marksheets and degree.

Thanks all

Can you put screen shot of the email as image here. Hide your personal details. If you want to help the forum members to decide which is safe NOC to apply please post the screenshot of the email

I would if there was an option. Let me know how, if it is possible and I have no issues in sharing that.
