Dear friends,
My wife and I recently learned about the process and we have already gathered all the documents we could (reference letters, police certificates, etc).
However, we are still in the process of having your education assessed (takes weeks) and we also scheduled the proficiency test for August. Considering that we might only have everything required by the end of August, is it still worth applying? is there anything we can do to have them know we are gathering the documents and that we have the intention of submitting our application soon?

We are applying under the 'Purchasing Manager" NOC.

If we are too late, because the spots have been filled, can we apply under any other program (not the federal skilled worker)? Will they let us know?

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this post

I think ppl should stop shouting here to ask if anybody got charged for so n so date... instead they should check spreadsheet to see this. With their spams for keep asking others about getting payments charged, one who come here for some info or suggestion gets his query unattended by experts. So stop asking n wait for ur PER else keep reading forum because whoever will get charged or get PER cant stop himself tl post here.

Sandy why u r ass is burning out .... as if someone raped u ..????
Dude u ask u r query n move on...!!!!
Why getting bothered cz of people awaiting PER's..??

All the luck to u. !!

My visitor visa also does not have my UCI, not on the visa stamping or passport at least.

There should be an 8-digit number at the bottom left corner of your TRV. This is the same # that CIC wrote on my General Application form last year when they returned it due to cap reached. There's no hyphen in the TRV though.

Hi All,
I am filling FSW 2171 category for 2014.
Done with my IELTS and WES verification.

I got married in 2 years back and my husband was in Canada. He applied for the Spouse Visa and I got UCI Id. However in between there were serious problems because of which I had to separate from him and had to withdraw my application during interview. And now I have filed complaint against him and his family in Indian court. Soon I will apply for divorce. Do I need to show any documents for my marriage separation when I am applying now ?

In my situation do I need to mention any dependent information? Like in form “Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008)” do I need to include him as an dependent?
I mentioned about my marriage as “ legally separated “ in the above form. Will that be okay ?
Do I need to mention UCI ID I got in previous case ?

Thanks in advance

@ruchill

Those were Canadian Bank based DD, infact Nova Scotia bank related. Actually apart from additional procedural time required for DD encashment, Banks intentionally delay the process (i think they have 3 days limit to respond) to keep fund at their bank for max time. Cruel World, isn't it!

I got the same question! I went to Canada long back (1998) so I have visitor visa. Where can I find my UCI?? :S
You will find this eight digit number all your correspondences with Canadian immigration which led to the granting you the visitor visa.
Please go and check your correspondences with immigration either by mail or immigration papers........you are going to find it.
Like i said,it's an 8 digit number selection.
Cheers.

My guess is your NOC will remain open until the end of August, but you should monitor status here on this forum as well as on CIC website. Do your bit and keep praying that it doesn't fill up by that time. Practice your IELTS tests and pay attention in filling up the application forms basis frequent errors that people discuss about on this forum.

You can't do anything to 'save' a seat on FSW by conveying you are already working on your case. At this time I suggest you shouldn't worry about "if I am late..." part as I think you guys might make it under FSW 2014. Plus, that can always be thought of when really necessary. Best wishes!

@DanielCoutinho
@All_Others_Who_Are_Worried_Abt_Caps

Firstly, Purchasing Manager is recently introduced, hopefully it will take lot longer than August to fill.

Secondly, and most importantly, what you have to lose even if the cap gets filled, lets analyse

1. $300-400 ECA fee (you have already ordered, so its a sunk cost, not relevant in your case)
2. $250 IELTS fee (again sunk cost, if you have registered)
3. $ 200-300 Courier Fee

However, the reward is chance for Canadian immigration.

Most important, although this is last FSW, other than courier fee, all your expenses and EFFORTs/Time will be a good investment for Express Entry (2015) or other provincial Nominee Programs as they get announced. CIC will not inform you abt any particular program but you can apply freely, if you are eligible.

Hope it answers your queries/fears.

No I don't see my UCI number with or without a hyphen on my visitor visa from several years ago. May be at some point in time (just an e.g. let's say post 2009) they decided to add UCI to your Visitor Visa, not sure. And may be earlier a visitor visa had no correlation with UCI? I am just taking a wild guess here. By the way, which year did you travel to Canada, and which year was your package returned due to cap?
