Hi All,

I am not sure whether someone has already informed about it in this forum but I do not see.

Just want to share that CIC has published the number of applications received on their website.
Yes......the forum knows about it also since last Friday 6th June,2014.
Thanks.

Do we have to get the POF in the form of "Current Bank Balance Certificate" on the bank letter head?

Ive got a print out from the bank, signed by the Manager of that bank showing my name, address and balance, is this enough?

Also its a simple print out on a plain paper, not on banks letter head

Guess it can be printed either on plain paper or letterhead for the bank.......it was not really stated in the instruction guide.
Just make sure it's from the bank, signed nd stamped by your account manager in the bank or bank manager showing your full name, full account names, full address a d balance as of the day it's printed out.
Cheers.

Hey everyone,
I have a question about the POF at the last, visa issuance stage (i am not at this stage, but better prepare beforehand)
from one of the forums i found that along with the passport request, the VO send this kind of request for POF:
______________________________________________________________________________________________________
- Bank account(s): a proof from a bank or a financial institution confirming that you have on deposit in your name the above-mentioned amount in Canadian funds or equivalent (we only accept bank statements confirming accounts held in Canada, in any other Western country or in a local branches of banks headquartered in a Western country (Citibank, Raiffeisen Bank, etc.). You must submit an original bank statement (not a photocopy) or a fax sent to you directly from the bank. The bank statement must be in English or French, on a bank letterhead and signed. It should contain the following information: account number, account holder's name, amount and currency. In addition to each bank statement please provide a 6 month account transaction history. Please be advised that we cannot accept a bank statement issued more than 30 days before the submission of your current proof of funds.
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________

now the problem for me is that there is no way that i put the funds in a western bank, as all of the western bank branches in our country only work with corporate clients.

Could anyone share their experience in case they faced a similar situation?

Thanks!

1st get the information that the VO asked for this is the same VO for you also - if same, you can make inquiry to your VO. I don't think, my VO, Singapore, will ask this sort of thing.

Not many updates about DD charged in the spreadsheet... ???

Hello

This forum offers a really great opportunity to connect will all the FSW 2014 applicants and I would request you to kindly provide some guidance in my case

Currently I am working in the domain of Mechanical engineering in a an Aerospace company. I had applied in the category of Aerospace engineering on April 28th 2014 as the cap was still not filled for Aerospace engineers and I was hopeful. But on May 1 2014 unfortunately the category of Aerospace engineer was deleted from the skilled occupation list and I was hoping that I will recieve my packet by May end so that I can reapply as a Mechanical engineer. But I have still not got the packet yet. I know for sure that they wont consider my application in Aerospace engineer as its no more in the list. Wat should I do ? Should I send a new application under Mechanical Engineer? In my case my job duties falls both in the categories of Mechanical and Aerospace engineer as provided by the Canadian immigration.

I really dont want to miss this opportunity.

Thank you

you still have a very big chance with the fsw2013 just be patient as it might take them upto 10 weeks to reply and i am quite sure they will accept you. on CIC websit, they say that applications received before 1/5/2014 will be reviewed base on the FSW13.

in case your application is rejected, it takes arround 8 weeks to receive it back by normal mail but this 8 weeks will still be after the 8-10 weeks period of application check.

my own experience with fsw 2013, my application was filed on 1/11/2013, on 21/1/2014 my application was rejected due to cap, i received my application package on 18/3/2014.

Hello Members -

In the document checklist under section 21 'Mailing Your Application' it has been specified that the candidate needs to send 2 self addressed mailing labels; 1 in English and 1 in the 'official language of your country of residence'.

I am residing in the UAE for the past 1 year and I have a residence permit. I am an Indian by Nationality.

If I understand correctly the official language of my country of 'residence' will be Arabic ?

Therefore should I get someone to prepare a self-addressed mailing label in Arabic?

Please advise.

These labels are for CIC in case they decide to return your application!! You should get the labels for official language of the country which you have mentioned as address of mailing communications. If it is UAE, it should be Arabic.

Hi Frnds,

I have applied for 2174(9th may 14) but later I found that I am also eligible for 2171. Is there any procedure to change in now or after getting PER?

If we cannot change it now then is it absolute necessary to get job for the same NOC which you applied for?
