Filling up Additional Family Information (IMM 5406) for spouse. But is not seeing anything to mark as this is for my spouse. How would CIC differentiate that from principal applicant?

One thing more, where to write name in Native language. Do not seeing any space after writing name in English.

They will know because on that form your wife is the applicant and you are the spouse.

Just write the native language close by the English name.

Guys need urgent help.

I m goin thru my app one last time n I found that I have written in generic form....current occupation - financial advisor and intended occupation - financial advisor. Whereas I m applying under noc 1113...dat is Investment Dealer. Rest all places I m mentioned occupation as investment dealer.

Will it make a lot of difference or its ok? If it's not ok I vl hav to change d generic form completely. Pls advice fast...

If you haven't sent yet, go ahead and change, all you have to do is re-validate and re-print.

If you've sent already, don't worry about it, it's not a big deal.

To all prospective applicants asking if they'd make it before the cap is reached,I have news for you....

NOBODY KNOWS WHEN THE CAP LIMIT WILL BE REACHED! We are all just extrapolating and guessing if you will and there's bound to be some confidence limit on our analysis. Send in your application based on the analysis of the number of applications received/sent so far to CIO. Do the calculation,remain hopeful and positive and send your application if and when you feel convinced that there's a space for you and that you'd make it.....!


To all prophets of doom discouraging prospective applicants from sending in their applications because the cap limit is already reached by the May 2nd 2014..... YOU DON"T WORK IN CIC CIO,so quit playing know-it-all because you don't!

Where can I find UCI number on my Canadian Temporary Resident Visa? Is it printed there?

Did they issue you visitor's permit or any other document ? I think document no. is mentioned on Visa stamp not UCI#.

I called the office again and the passport still not available im tempted to submit my old passport (Aug 2014 expiry) then just re-submit the copy of the new one... im losing hope that I will reach the cap for 2172.

Do it! Include a note saying you have already applied for a new passport. You will be just fine updating them later. Your passport is valid now, send your app without delay!

Is there a way to track application using UCI?

I forgot to add it on my application?

When did you submitted your application ?? If it was on or between May 1 - May 5 and your CC is charged/ DD cashed and haven't got PER then try checking ECAS using UCI#.
