This year cap for 2174 is 1000 applications where your calculation is basis 500. So we still may have chance for applications received till 10th May or 12th May

well just to get an idea.. i would say, just see the total applications for NOC 2174 each day in our forum
if it represents 5%

1st May forum 6 so global ... 120
2nd may forum 7 so global ... 140
5th May forum 12 so global ... 240
6th May forum 7 so global ... 140
7th May forum 25 so global 500 probably cap reach by 6th or 7th May

that is just my pessimistic estimation, because for 6th May we saw only CC charge for NOC 2173 not from either
of hot NOCs like 1112 or 2174

Hi All,

I am going to the completion of my IELTS exam on 7th June. The results will be declared on 20th June.

I have done Computer Engineering and have 2 years of work experience. So I think I'm eligible under 2173 and 2173 NOC.

Please guide me regarding below doubts:
1). I still need to apply for the WES certificate. According to my understandings the process is as follow:
a). We have to register our selves on WES site and have to pay the fees for the certificate.
b). After that we will receive one application number, with with we need to print the entire application form.
c). We need to send this application form along with our mark sheets, degree certificate and transcript in one envelope.
d). All the documents must be signed by the authorized person from the university .
e). Once all the documents are signed and placed inside a university named envelop, we have to send it to the WES office in Canada.
f). And then waiting.........

Please correct me if I'm wrong in the above process. Also I have some doubts like :
a). Do we have to to place the signed WES Application form by the university authorized person or as it is ? Place it to university. they will put e-mail address there which will be required for WES to communicate your university.
b). Once everything is authorized and sealed in a university named envelope, can we courier the envelop to WES or we have to ask the university to deliver it ? You can courier. Generally transcript got to be sent in sealed envelope of the university and certificate by you. You can put both the envelopes in one courier packet to save money. I did it and so it is done by my friend. It works.
c). Once the envelop with all the documents is sent, how many days it may take to get the final WES certificate ? Currently 20 working days.


2). The second doubt I'm having is about the Proof of Funds we have to declare when we apply. I'm having 5 members in my family including me. Mom, Dad, elder bro and sister in law. Out of all of them my brother and his wife live in canada, while my parents live in India. So my doubts are :
a). Do I have to show the Proof of Funds for 5 or for 3 ? Pof is required for you, your spouse, and your children only.
b). What are the options to show the proof of funds, I mean like what documents do we have to add to show the proof of funds in our account ? Bank certificate of balance on your fixed deposit, saving account, current account etc. You can additionally provide the bank statement.


With all these documents pending, I think I will be able to submit my file at the end of June month. Please let me know if the cap will be open for 2173 or 2174 till that time. Is there any way to find out the official cap counts, like by calling in cic office or through email communication with them ? Try 2173. Calling/e-mailing to CIC won't work. Ministral Instruction will be required to be included after reaching cap

I can try to reply you on WES matter only..

If your education is from Indian university, you need to send a cover with following documents.

1. Copy of your degree / diploma certificate
2. Sealed cover issued by your university including all semesters mark sheets. They also mention to put document request form signed and stamped by university (I understand that they accept documents without this also). Transcript is not mandatory but better to keep in same cover.
3. Printout of the order summary page you get from WES after making payment (Which includes reference number)

Alternatively, you can inform your university to send the sr no 2 directly to WES but it would be lengthy and costly affair.

Also mention the reference number on the main cover along with your name and address.

Family details (father, mother, siblings etc) are listed in the additional family information for both you and your spouse. (2 forms)
Additional dependents form is for a family with more 5 dependents to declare. (Dependents are your spouse and children)

What he meant is, you need to sum all these number of the days. I.E 120 + 140 + 240 + 140 + 500. But it does not matter, we all can apply because noone knows for sure the exact proportion. He just based on last year program.

I'm New to this forum.
Documents received in Nova Scotia Intake center on May 29th 2014
I'm live in US Currently and use My home country visa office in Moscow for processing application.
My NOC is 1123 Professional occupations in advertising, marketing and public relations.
My questions to community are:
1. My Ielts Was about to expired On May 27th just right after I send the application.
Will my Application Packet may be returned back because of that? Or they will request an updated Ielts test?
2.If there anyone here also Applying through the Moscow visa Office, Please share your timelines?
