I may be wrong....but my response will be NO.
I have countless of applicants who has applied as single status....they never included family registry.

Cheers!

Bro ...Can we consider the spreadsheet entry is at least 10% of the total application submitted to CIC ?

Spreadsheet 10%? I don't think so. This forum surely represents more than 10% but you have to consider the silent SELFISH members.

As per CIC, if you are not giving family details, you will not be able to sponsor any of the family members in future.

Important

You must list all family members in your application for permanent residence, whether they are accompanying you to Canada or not. You must also provide details on family members whose location is unknown (including those missing or presumed dead). If you don’t, you will not be able to sponsor family members at a later date if they are not listed on your application.

I don't have a family as wife & dependents, I'm single, my question was should I submit a Family registry for myself, Parents & Brothers as it is required in the document checklist.
Or not to submit a Family register at all as a single person??

Another exciting week begins in 4.5 hours ... time for CIC to water that green tree in the SpreadSheet !!

Been more than a week now .. they should start cashing the DD's right? Also do the banks really know that the DD has been cashed or is it a difficult procedure to find out ?

i called my bank and they said if i want to know whether the DD is encashed or not, i have to pay fees for that as they have to contact the canadian bank to get this confirmation. this take 3-5 days to get the reply.

I need help regarding the bank inquiry issue by CIC.

01. How long do I need to keep the money?

02. Do I need to do day to day transaction if it is a saving account? or they will only see the balance, not the transaction!

Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

What will the Family registry proof to CIC officials?...why are you including it?
I'm asking because it wasn't instructed and I have countless single friends who didn't raise this issue.
Cheers!

Dear Brother,

1. Its alws preferable to keep the required money through out the procesing...

2. They dont see the transaction deeply...They focus on the consistent money of ur account...:)

CIC has not asked for any Family Registry anywhere. It does aske for marriage certs and birth Certs but that is for PA / Spouse and Children only.

Hi All,

I'm almost ready with my app but I'm confused about the Family Registry
Being single, I have applied last year with no Family Registry at all as I 'though it 's for married applicants only later my app returned due to cap reached.
This year a friend's Immigration lawyer told him that he should submit a Family Registry despite being single.
Although Family Registry is not relevant for a single man, it can be issued for his father with him, mother & brothers shown as dependents, & that CIC will need this as part of their applicant's Background check.

Actually I don't like neither believe Lawyers, however I think that this may makes sense as Form IMM5406E (Additional Family Information) and IMM5669E (Background Declaration) requires details about parents & brothers.

Now I'm very confused about it, so should Single applicants submit a Family Registry for their parents?

Appreciate your help

It's listed in the Document Checklist, point 16 with National IDs

If this is what you refer to as family registry...then,I didnt understand you.

Married and singles applicants needs to list out their family members in form IMM 5406....if this is what you refer to as family registry...my apologies.
You need to list all of them out in the form....its not only singles but for married pple as well
if they are more than the specified columns on the form, make an extra sheet to accomodate them.
This is useful for future purposes as it will be easier for you to sponsor them.
Cheers!

So it's ok to send a Family Register for my Father, with myself as one of the sons.
Wouldn't it make any confusion with CIC?

If you are not providing your family information, you wont be able to sponsor them in the future
