HI All,,,......

Another day another QUestion ,... Thanks in advance . I got my WES evaluation done today . It states that bachelors (4 years ) and Masters degree

But to calculate points for the education on the cic site it says the following :

for 23 points
University degree at the Master’s level or equalNote de bas de page 1 OR University level entry-to-practice professional degree (or equalNote de bas de page 1). Occupation related to the degree must be:
NOC 2011 Skill Level A, and
licensed by a provincial regulatory body.

Note: Degree program must be in one of these fields of study: Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, Podiatry, Optometry, Law, Chiropractic Medicine, or Pharmacy.

the note above says that if the degree is done in above mentioned categories then only we will receive 23 points . so do i get 21 instead of 23 as i have done my masters in computers and information science.

Please help this will help me calculate my points

I'm curious to know, did you get a job reference letter that states "some" of your job duties? How did CIC determine that not all your job duties were listed? Or is a case where your listed duties did not match intended NOC in their estimation?

Hey whips the letter said we are not satisfied with these job duties.
My ref letter just 5 job duties regarding Development.

Doesn't matter if it 5 or 6. It should match your duties with appropriate NOC. See my previous response. It might help you.

Hello Everyone!

Can anybody guess when will the cap for Noc 1111 will be reached.

I have to appear for ielts and i have received dates for 19th july 2014 and (+13 days) for results.

Do you think it is now too late or still a glimpse of hope to scrape through.

Please reply at earliest

Thank you

In the manual (IMM7000), it's stated under Factor 1: Education, in the points table, that:

"University-level credential at the Master’s level OR an entry-to-practice professional degree. CIC only accepts as an entry-to-practice professional degree, those degrees issued in relation to an occupation listed at NOC Skill level A and for which licensing by a provincial regulatory body is required, in one of the following fields of study: Medicine, Veterinary Medicine; Dentistry; Podiatry; Optometry; Law; Chiropractic Medicine and Pharmacy."

So, clearly, these conditions in the second sentence apply only to an entry-to-practice professional degree. If you have a University-level Masters degree and it was acknowledged as such by WES, then you will receive 23 points.

Your guess is as good as any. My advice, as I said to another user with a similar question, is that you go for it, and gather all needed documentation, fill all forms thoroughly, take the pictures, translate what you need, get an ECA, and take IELTS. When the last piece of document arrives (hopefully the IELTS results - provided that you score at least 6.0 in all areas), send the application ASAP. You can also keep up with current caps here, although they have not started updating the table yet.

Good luck!

You can easily land yourself into trap by Mentioning General duties. By General duties I mean: No mentioning duties in descriptive way or proper way. They don't know whether you listed all duties or not. They just blindly believe (80% cases) that what you mentioned in your reference letter is what you are doing on your work place. That's why Reference letter is one of the most important document of your application.

NOC not matching duties mentioned is different thing. Mentioning all thing you do on work place and that too in descriptive way will be wisest thing to do. But one more to remember as well do over write you duties and compare it with duties mentioned on HRSDC website under your appropriate NOC. Comparing might help you in some way. Copy pasting duties from HRSDC website can be very risky. Do not take such chances. Good luck.

I have read many cases on this Forum and other Forums where applicants had several verification checks at their work place by CIC folks (mostly all cases at NDVO).......
Have anyone heard of CIC people doing similar checks at your work location in USA or Canada or any other countries......

I know for sure it had happened to many applicants in India.... just curious to know if CIC does the same for applicants at other countries??

I am curious to know that as well. I am located in Canada. I can say that chances of fraud in India (no offense) compared to USA or Canada. I mean taxation fraud or false employment letter of false company. It hard to do this kind of things in Canada or USA. Let me know if you find an answer for this. I also created another thread before 30 min. Try posting there aswell.

Thank you Awilner for prompt reply but just need to have an rough idea as to when do you expect the list Noc1111 to closed. Any rough estimate from past experience or so.

Sure.
I heard a similar case but it was not an FSW applicant but a CEC(Canada experience class) where a person had faked job letter and was caught in personal interview.... not sure if he was black listed, but he had posted that his application was rejected due to that.... I dnt have the link but i remeber reading it somewhere few months back.

Let me know the link of the new thread you have created.
