Hi Seniors,

Just want to make sure the size of photo we need to submit.
I just had my photos done with the following instruction shown on the guideline.
The photos must:
measure between 25 mm and 30 mm (1”and 1 3/8”) from chin to crown;
have a 35 mm x 45 mm (1 3/8” x 1 ¾”) finished size.

However, I have seen a senior advice different size earlier in this forum.
"The size of the head, from chin to crown, must be between 31 mm (1 1/4″) and 36 mm (1 7/16″)".

Is my photo size wrong?

Thank you.

Hi
Sorry , but no harsh feelings Personally I know that there are many silent visitors and so Forum just represents only maximum 15-20% people globally., last year they introduced ECA , still the cap got filled in just 3 weeks for 1112
and so I suppose there are very less chances for people after 15th may submission especially for 2173-4 and 1112,

I agree that 2173-74 and 1112 are hot. But don't know your rationale behind 15th May. It's discouraging to say the least. Here we are talking about 3K in these 3 NOC as against 900 last year. Wonder whether you would have made such statement if you had not sent your application. Last year, there were skeptics who were saying that 2174 would get filled in first 3 days only.

I agree with your opinion.

Dear Members,

I am in US and thinking of moving back to my country temporarily untill the FSW process is complete to spend time with family.
Would this impact my application in any manner? Should I do this move?
When would you advise, if at all, I can do this.
My VO is Ottawa, at what stage CIC would no longer look at bank accounts, so that I can transfer the money to account in my country.

First thing, CIC will take around 6 months to give you PR for US applicants coz of Ottawa VO working fast and checked last years applicants timeline. so if you can hold your vacation till then would be wise. Second, are you on h1b in USA? if you move to India, will your visa be canceled? if yes then dont go. if not then should be fine. And if at all you must move then wait till you get PER from CIC that way you can be sure that you are accepted.

Going by logic of 20% on this forum, i think you are talking about 320 applications being filled, also, this time with 0111, 1111, 1114 getting it would mean 1112 will be around 300 by now, i dont think even 2174 will fill by 15th. for 1112, it would be around end of the month considering 1000 cap.

Hello People,

Facing a Big dilemma. Now I Have the requisite funds to show(liquid), however I also have an investment in real estate which is jointly owned by myself and my mom. So is the mortgage(joint). Now CIC does not consider assets that are jointly owned(except if spouse). What about the Liability? The liability as of today would be approx 45K CAD and the purchase price is around 87K and fair market value is 127K. Is it advisable to show this liability. There is no organization to provide a valuation certificate about the fair market value.

Advise on the above is indeed appreciated? FYI I have no intentions of selling this asset even If I migrate.

Are completely sure that the 1112 cap was filled after 3 weeks?, when i review the 2013 timeline, it says that the cap was filled in 8/21/2013, and that is way longer than three weeks.

Your photo size is correct. Google IMM 7000, in that specific guidance for FSWP applicants, read photo specs from appendix A.

Cheers

I agree. These are fast moving categories and hence may get filled faster even though cap has increased to 1000. But then updates on cic websites in a sense doesn't reflect true picture. Last year 2174 reached its capacity in August whereas in actual it got filled in May itself.

Tango ,

I understand that nobody can predict very correctly , but there were lot of people active in the forum last year , but all are mostly silent
and I personally know they had filed application on a very first day it means 1st and 2nd may so you can imagine .. rest the time will tell.

That is the reason I predicted 15th , last year the application intakes were shown for 2174 in the series of 7, 15, 60, 120 , 240 and ....filled in 4th week by 30th may although it start from 4th may (Sunday) and people sent their applications on 6th May(included) onwards, my file reached on 5th July ..and I was hoping that I may be in the list of 300 ..:-)

During entire May, just apply and try your luck. I wouldn't apply in June if I were you to be honest. But in May, you might stand a chance even up to last week perhaps. It's quite simple. Last year there were hardly any applications during first week of FSW2013 (all applicants awaiting ECAs). This year almost everyone not meeting the cap had finger on the trigger and has made sure the application reached during first 10 days. So I really really wouldn't be surprised if this allegedly "global" sheet falls really short in terms of representation. Do not blindly accept "last years %s".

That said..... 1000 cap, sister NOCs opened, so stay positive and be hopeful. Just apply.

In the 'your travels' form can't type family name, given name!

Is the problem only me facing!?

Hi, don't be stressed about it. Just use a pen to fill problem areas.

[size=10pt][size=10pt]Forumites....guess i should try and open the floodgates of PERS for FSW 2014 applicants......don't be carried away....I actually belong to 2013 FSW but I have a form of attachment to 2014 FSW applicants.
I just got my PERS mail notification for my third application which was received on the 24th April,2014.
1st application was returned(on 27th january,2014) because of payment issues......yet to get my application back but I guess its my credit card that have issues with them.
2nd application was returned(on 4th April,2014) because my application " was deemed incomplete".....I'm yet to get it back.....but i later noticed some typo error in my background declaration form plus some irregularities in dates for my spouse.
Third application received on 24th was successful!
It took 20 days!

Wish you buddies speedy processing.

Hi Kollins,

Congrats..

Can you please tell what kind of problems you had in background form when you applied second time?

Regards
Amar
