Hello everyone,

How do we know if our DD is charged? For credit card users, there is a notification from the bank once their account is debited but for the DD users the amount gets deducted as soon as the bank prepares a DD.

I tried calling my bank here and they said I need to call and check if the DD has been charged or not. Does CIC notify us when the DD is charged?

Jasim

CIC or no one will notify you when the DD has been charged. You need to call your bank time to time and if charged, bank can inform you. Generally it takes 2/3 days to know by bank after the DD has been charged.

2nd time reply. You are having this problem cause you did not complete question 6 "Where did you intend to live in Canda". You select a location and then in question 7, select NO. You will then find all the field grayed out.

I agree 100%. Good luck! :)

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping this to be much simpler :'(

In my last year application that I received back because cap reached, I found CIC made modifications in my form with pen and corrected the information where it needed few modifications. I thin,k bar code helps them gather the information easily and directly on computer. They anyways verify the information in the form and then edit on their computer. I don't think you should be worried as the actual application form/hard copy you filled already has the information. Check any similar information on 2013 form. Relax and Good luck!
Dear, Same my case in FSW13. They tick in the hardcopy. They did same in my form and created UCI.

I wonder, whether notarization of photocopy is really necessary?

I personally don't think that the photocopies need to be notarized, as in the checklist for documents they did not mention "certified copies" , instead it was mentioned "copies" which by my understanding are just photocopies.

I did not notarize my birth certificate and just sent them a photocopy.

And you will get to know from this forum that CIC started charging fees. Until then, relax and wait before following up with the bank. Even if you don't get any update from your bank, you will anyways get an email from CIC a week later about PER. Good luck!

Re: FSW 2014 Applicants Timeline- Lets Network Here. FUNDS!!

Your suggestion please:

I transferred CAD $10,000 in Nova Scotia bank for living expense as I was applying for PGDM just for the heck of PR.
FSW 2014 opened up, so I used these funds to show for PR, along with savings in another bank account equal to CAD $1,800 + .

I have overdraft = CAD $ 1,818 so to compensate with it, I made Fixed Deposit equivalent to the same amount with maturity period of 6 months and CAD $ 55 extra earnings on it.

So, I am kind off going cut to cut to suffice $ 11,824 / person requirement of FSW

It is like $ 60 more than the required $11,824 and by next 6 months, can be about CAD $100 based on interest earned in FD, and Nova Scotia bank.

Will I be considered secondary, if someone has more funds than me ? But I have send my application on time with all docs..

Just fail to understand one thing, if CAP reached, why they even bothered to reacd your application.

When your application was recieved last year, and when its CAP reached (as per the last payment processed). May i know your NOC for last year?

Hi Seniors

I have a query abt reference letter.
I worked in same company and same department for 3 yrs, I was promoted after 1.5 yrs from engineer to sr. engineer.
My responsibilities continued to be same.
Should I mention change in designation in the reference letter ?

Please advice.

@Jango1
If you meet the threshold, you will not be secondary. But the amount u write shud be equal to the amount for which u have proof not estimated / accrued interest for which you have no proof

Hi Guys..
Have couple of queries regarding POF.

Do we have put down the money available in our bank account in both Assets and Settlement Funds in the form or just in the Settlement funds? If just settlement funds, then do we mention Nil in front of the assets?

Also, I am currently in UK and have funds available both in my Indian and UK Account. Can I show balance certificate for both?

Kindly help. Thank You..

For each application that reaches CIC, they record the verified applicant's information in their system and generate UCI number and provide to the applicant. (The file is not checked by only a single person to verify and make decision. So, when the person when forwards the file after data verification and UCI generation, the person at next step verifies if it falls under the cap. If not, they write an explanation letter and return the application). In bracket is my process assumption. Plz check 2013 forum for any more info on this. Last year I applied in 2174. Chill and good luck!

I am not suppose to fill anything after this point in Schedule A Form, right?

Thanks for this, it stopped my worries in mind :)

I have written the funds I have, not the accruals.. However, I also have provided the evidence of accruals earned in FD and Nova scotia bank.. So I am good to go :)
