Dear all, I have seen some people mentioning that PCC needs to be obtained for the all the countries where the applicant has resided for more than 6 months?? Is this true??? :o

In my case , I have studied in Sweden and got my masters degree from there. the course duration was more than 6 months. Now I have to get PCC from Sweden ?? :O

Yes. You can contact the Politi of Sweden. The information will be provided on the Police website (I hope so).
I had a similar case. I studied in Norway. And I emailed the politi office and they send me the PCC. But, it took a long time (nearly 6 weeks) to reach me.
But you can submit the application without PCC now. instead submit them later to VO.

Brother,

In my case, i used older dated notarized copy... so may also do that...

Thanx. And does this include PCC also ?
They were issued on 17 July 2013. it means there is less than 3 months to get it expired. I have applied for a new one but it needs abt 6 weeks to get a new one. Shall I submit the old one now and provide the new one to the VO later ?

I thought this before posting that you won't understand, you proved me right :) i had just joked about you being jealous.
And re-iterating my thoughts again that he is not asking +1 for himself. Many of us are newbies here and don't even know that there is something like a +1 here in the forum.

Am absolutely sure you still won't be able to understand and appreciate and neither will I try again.

Bye

I am sure you need a +1 from me,you won't get it :P :P

Please help on this.
1.There is no rule saying you can apply with or without your spouse. In my opinion, try to apply so that you wont have to start the process for your spouse later.
2.CIC have a way of debiting credit cards even though some may have problems depending on your country.
3.You will have to fill them in the spaces indicated....not 2 copies.
4.*Register with WEs first at www.wes.org....you will be given a reference number after registration.
download an academic request form from WES and fill it with your details and registration number and send to your school for them to include it in your transcripts which you will mandate them to send.
*Pay the cash for it.
*Send photocopies of your highest degree to WES by courier (not attachement)
*Mandate you school to send you academic transcripts to WES by courier.
*Wait for WES to verify from you school to complete your evaluation.

Hello Asif,

For NOC 1114 " Other Financial Officer" there are many Titles mentioned on Canada's official website.

However, there is no title in the given list which is similar to mine which is "Compliance Officer".

My current Job responsibilities are matching (50%) with said NOC.

Please clarify whether I need to change my title to be in line with NOC or no change is required ?

Regards & Thanks

Nope brother u can still apply with ur current designation "Compliance Officer".

I would suggest u to prepare ur job ref letter highlighting with 50% duties...its better if u show 70-80 % of ur duties on the letter that u do on ur job duties...:)

Good luck.

Just want to share about the PCC:

ur PCC submission validity is Three months. So when u want to submit ur PCC u should consider the date is not over three month from the issuing day.

Though PCC validity is One year but submission validity is Three months

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp#eg73

I can sugesst u---Dont delay for ur PCC...

u can submit on later phase..Once u have ur application number/PER from CIC u can send it to ur local Visa office easily...:)

As already advised, focus more on the Job descriptions matching your desired NOC and forget your Job tittle.
With relative high percentage job descriptions matching....you are good to go.
Not forgetting other factors like Age...years of experiece,ECA e.t.c

Dear Ashif_eee/kollins,

I have already sent my application, and as per the checklist, I have added my degree certificates (Bachelor and masters) as well as the original ECA report.
However, I have not added transcripts of my education simply because it is not a mandate as per the checklist.

I am pasting the content as present in the checklist:
Proof of your completed Canadian or foreign educational credentials can include copies of your:
a) secondary or post-secondary docs (certificates, diplomas or degrees)
b) transcripts for successfully completed secondary or post-secondary studies, if available

Based on the above two points, I have not added the transcripts.
Do you think it is a problem ?
Kindly advice.

Regards,
nshivani

Thank you very much Ashif......Now it makes me comfortable with my documentation :) :) :)

+1 to you :)

Visa office depends on the one that your region or country belong to.
Where is he currently or from where is he sending the application....I'm sure he must have picked a visa office in his generic form.

Thanks Kollins

On my way home, I figured it out. :P
But what I meant was where could I find the rules or regulations regarding for marital status change in CIC website?
I just need to study on this.
Could anyone advice?

Thank you.
And where can I be able to +1 on others?
I would like to show my appreciation.

Its not a problem.
CIC recognized that some institution doesnt even release transcripts which is why they said"if available".
So far you include photocopies of your degree......you are flying high in that aspect assuming you all other things in the check list in place.
