Hi Guys,
1) Regarding Work Experience
Can I just submit last 2-3 years of experience rather than showing more, since last 10 years experience is asked very clearly in the Checklist. I have over 6 yrs of experience altogether but only last 2.5 is relevant to my NOC code. Can I ignore to give them the entire history.
2) Regarding Birth Certificate
I have come across people discussing Birth Certificates. Why is a Birth Certificate required and is it mandatory? Mine is in Japanese since I was born in Japan and only have photocopies of English translation, will that be ok to submit? They will never ask for originals, will they? And also whats with getting them notarized? Is that required too?
1. Apart from your intended NOC, you can get points if your other NOC is Skill Type 0 (managerial occupations), Skill Level A (professional occupations) or B (technical occupations and skilled trades).
2. You will require affidavit from the person who translated the birth certificate plus a certified copy of the original birth certificate. You can also think of the below alternative that i copied from a reply of rawdah:
"Alternatives to birth certificate are as follows in CIC's own words
We do accept Secondary school records that contain the following :
Applicant's Name
Date of Birth
Name of Parent/Parents
If you are not able to provide a Birth certificate with all 3 criteria, we require an affidavit stating all of this information or that a Birth certificate cannot be attained.
So 10th standard school certificate or an affidavit containing applicants name, date of birth and Parent/Parents name should be fine in lieu of a birth certificate. Also you must give reason in a cover letter why you were not able to provide birth certificate and that you are providing 10th standard school certificate / affidavit in lieu of birth certificate."
