Thanks a lot.
You're welcome! Good luck to all of us!

Guys, I'll pay the fee by bank draft. I have to make it payable to "THE RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA" or "RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA" ?? In the IMM 5620 Fee Payment Form, it's written "THE RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA" but in the Instruction Guide IMM EG7000, it says the "RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA". Does it matter with or without "the" ?? Your answer is very much appreciated. Thanks

Will Travelers Cheques work instead of money draft?

My wife has only Given name and no Family name in her passport. What should I fill in the Family name(s) column in IMM0008? I cannot leave that column blank.

I am in INDIA and I have already couriered the application to my sisters address in CANADA.
My sister is going to send the application packet to CIC from CANADA on behalf of me. I am using my sisters details to claim points for adaptability but not using her as a representative.

Will there be any problem if my sister sends my application to CIC or do I need to send directly to CIC from INDIA? Please do reply if some one has already done this.

Hello,

In Background declaration / Question 8 Personal history

- Part of my experience was during my graduation. I can put in one line two things like "Working/Studying" OR I have two put 2 lines for the same period?
- I'll use another paper cause the space wasn't enough, I leave the question blank and write all the answers in the other paper?

Thanks

Thanks Goku ..

will wait for somebody to advise on pending query

How valuation for PPF, EPF, Stocks & Mutual Funds statement will be shown in CAD as there will not be any Bank Certificate for these products just the statement showing INR valuation.

Well, I haven't come across any preferred method of valuing these investments in CAD for Immigration purposes.

Common sense suggests :

- Take the statements for each of those investments on a common date say, as of 31 Mar 2014
- List them all in a separate sheet (as Annexure) with their valuation as of given date and add them to arrive at the Total value of those investments in INR as of given date
- Find the CAD$/INR exchange rate as on that date and convert the Total value investments into CAD$ using the exch rate.

Alternatively, Sell your liquid investments like stocks, MF and show the cash in bank balance. The stock markets are anyways in uptrend due to Na Mo factor.. so you will get higher realization from sale of stocks , MF :)

Hope it helps !

No need to send CV. Only employer refrence documents.

So far are there any changes in the forms, requirements, etc?
